Toast POS repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

End Use Segment

Toast, Inc. is a restaurant-technology OEM and platform provider best known for its integrated, Android-based point-of-sale ecosystem. The company combines cloud software, payment processing and purpose-built restaurant hardware into a single operating platform for restaurants and food-and-beverage retailers. Its hardware portfolio includes fixed POS terminals, tablets, handheld ordering/payment devices such as Toast Go, kitchen display systems, customer-facing displays, card readers, printers and related networking accessories. Its software extends beyond POS into digital ordering and delivery, payroll and workforce management, inventory, loyalty, marketing and financial-management tools. Toast is particularly known for designing restaurant-grade hardware and tightly integrating it with payment processing and operational software for front-of-house and back-of-house workflows.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Card Reader Stops Working or Is Not Detected

Toast Go 2 and Toast Tap/Flex readers can stop recognizing chip, tap, or swipe payments, or the POS may stop detecting the reader entirely. Reader resets, firmware updates, reseating the reader, or replacement hardware are commonly required.

Intermittent Network Disconnections

Toast Go handhelds, Flex terminals, KDS units, and printers can repeatedly drop off the Toast network even while other internet-connected equipment remains online. Wi-Fi switching, weak access-point coverage, Ethernet problems, or network-interface faults are common causes.

Printer Goes Offline or Stops Printing

TP200/TP300 and supported Epson printers can remain powered on but disappear from Toast devices or stop receiving print jobs. Ethernet connectivity, IP addressing, device-to-printer communication, and printer resets are frequent troubleshooting targets.

Toast Flex Loses Connection to Hub or Printer

Flex terminals can intermittently lose Ethernet or peripheral connectivity through the Toast Hub or integrated printer connection. Toast specifically identifies loose or failing USB-C cables between the Hub/Printer and Flex stand as a recurring cause.

Touchscreen or Display Failure

Toast Flex, Flex for Guest, KDS, and Toast Go displays can develop unresponsive touch, flickering, dead pixels, white lines, backlight failure, or partial black screens. Persistent display faults generally require replacement after firmware and connection issues are ruled out.

Toast Go Charging or Battery Failure

Toast Go handhelds can fail to charge, shut down unexpectedly, or refuse to power on because of battery, charger, cable, or charging-interface problems. Toast provides battery replacement kits for the Go 2 when the battery itself is the failed component.

Flex Terminal Will Not Power On

Toast Flex terminals can fail to boot because of defective power adapters, USB-C power cables, the terminal stand, or the terminal itself. Toast's troubleshooting procedure isolates these components and calls for replacement when bypass testing confirms a hardware failure.

Printer Paper Feed, Cutter, or Printhead Failure

Toast TP-series and Epson printers commonly encounter paper jams, stalled feeds, cutter errors, overheated printheads, faint output, or incomplete receipts. Debris, incorrectly loaded paper, worn mechanisms, and thermal-head problems are typical causes.

KDS Stops Receiving or Syncing Tickets

Toast Flex for Kitchen and Elo KDS devices can stop receiving new tickets or fall out of synchronization with other Toast devices. Power cycling, order/data resynchronization, network recovery, and configuration checks are the standard remedies.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
