The washer fails to lock, recognize, or release the loading door, preventing cycle startup or leaving the door locked after completion. Typical causes include a failed lock assembly or solenoid, misaligned door/striker, defective door switch, or damaged wiring.
The washer cannot remove water within the expected drain period, causing the cycle to stop or preventing the door from unlocking. Common causes include a blocked drain path, failed drain pump or valve, obstructed hoses, or associated wiring faults.
The washer fails to reach the programmed water level within the allowed fill time. Restricted inlet screens, closed or low-pressure water supplies, defective inlet valves, and pressure-sensing system faults are typical causes.
The machine cannot adequately distribute the load or detects excessive movement during extraction and consequently reduces or cancels high-speed spin. Uneven loads, incorrect installation, damaged suspension components, or an improperly positioned out-of-balance switch can cause the condition.
The drum fails to rotate or the control loses the expected feedback from the drive system. Possible causes include a failed motor or drive, disconnected wiring, an open tachometer circuit, control-board problems, or a mechanically locked drum.
The machine fails to reach or correctly regulate the required operating temperature. Heating-element or burner faults, temperature-sensor/thermistor problems, wiring defects, and heating-control failures are common underlying causes.
Electronic controls fail to communicate with another controller or correctly operate machine outputs. Faulty control boards, disconnected or damaged harnesses, transformer/power problems, and communication-circuit failures can prevent normal operation.
Gas tumble dryers fail to establish or maintain ignition, resulting in little or no heat and potentially an ignition-control lockout. Igniter, gas-valve, flame-sensing, airflow, wiring, or ignition-control faults can produce this symptom.
Restricted airflow or defective temperature-control components cause poor drying, excessive cycle times, or clothes that are abnormally hot at the end of a cycle. Lint restrictions, blocked exhaust systems, fan problems, and faulty temperature sensors or thermostatic controls are typical causes.
