Evets Corporation is a privately held musical-instrument products company best known as the owner/operator of the Danelectro and Snark brands. Evets revived the Danelectro name in the late 1990s and markets guitars, basses, effects pedals, amplifiers, pickups and related accessories, while its Snark business focuses heavily on electronic and clip-on musical-instrument tuners. Its trademark portfolio confirms products spanning guitars, basses, effects pedals, amplifiers, tuners, metronomes, strings, picks and other musical-instrument accessories. Justia Trademarks Evets is particularly associated with Danelectro's retro-styled guitars and distinctive lipstick pickups, along with Snark's widely sold clip-on tuners; industry coverage describes Snark as a category leader in budget tuner design and manufacture.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Bridge Plate Sagging / Warping

The metal bridge plate on many Danelectro guitar and bass models can bow downward in the center under sustained string tension. This can produce uneven action, fret buzz, poor setup geometry, and difficulty maintaining correct intonation.

Poor or Limited Intonation

Traditional Danelectro rosewood-saddle and other non-individually-adjustable bridge designs can prevent individual strings from being intonated accurately. The problem is particularly noticeable on some 12-string models, where paired strings may require substantially different saddle positions.

Tuning Machine Failure / Slippage

Stock tuning machines on some Danelectro reissues can loosen, slip, become imprecise, or suffer broken tuner keys. The result can range from difficulty making fine tuning adjustments to an inability to hold pitch reliably.

Nut Buzz / Improper Nut Slot Geometry

Aluminum and other factory nuts can develop or arrive with poorly cut slots or insufficient string break angle. Typical symptoms include open-string buzzing, rattling, tuning instability, and strings binding or creeping at the nut.

Pickup Selector / Rotary Switch Failure

Pickup selector and rotary switches can develop oxidized, intermittent, or failed contacts. Affected instruments may lose one or more pickup positions, cut out intermittently, or only produce sound in a single switch position.

Output Jack / Solder Connection Failure

Output jacks can loosen mechanically and stress or break their solder connections. This typically causes intermittent output, crackling, signal loss, or complete loss of audio.

Bridge Mounting Screw / Body Anchor Failure

On some reissues, bridge mounting holes in relatively soft body material can enlarge or become oval with use and string tension. The bridge can consequently shift position, compromise scale length and intonation, or become inadequately secured.

Fret Buzz / Uneven String Action

Bridge deformation, setup geometry, nut problems, neck relief, or uneven string height can leave individual strings significantly lower than neighboring strings. The resulting fret buzz may affect only particular strings or frets and can sometimes be audible through amplification.

Concentric Potentiometer / Control Failure

Danelectro's dual-concentric volume and tone controls can develop ineffective, intermittent, or abnormal control behavior as pots and associated wiring age or fail. Symptoms include tone controls having little effect, abrupt changes instead of a smooth sweep, or inconsistent volume and tone response.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
