LG refrigerators equipped with linear compressors have been widely reported to lose cooling after premature compressor failure. Symptoms include rising compartment temperatures, thawing food, continuous compressor operation, and complete loss of refrigeration.
LG refrigerator ice-making systems can stop producing or dispensing ice because of failed ice-maker motors, temperature sensors, fans, or associated mechanisms. The problem may present as an IS/15, IF, or ice-maker-related error code.

LG washers can stop rotating the tub and display LE, LE1, or related rotation errors when the motor or drive mechanism cannot operate. If overloads and trapped foreign objects are ruled out, the motor or associated drive hardware may require service.
LG washers can fail to begin or continue a cycle when the door or lid cannot properly close and lock, producing dE, dE1, dE2, DL, or similar errors. Persistent faults after checking for obstructions and alignment can indicate failure of the door-lock assembly.
