Gigaset repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Gigaset Technologies GmbH is a German telecommunications equipment manufacturer best known for DECT cordless telephones and associated home and business communication products. Originating from Siemens' communications-device operations, the company has manufactured products in Bocholt since 1941 and today develops and produces cordless/landline phones, professional DECT and IP communication systems, smartphones, and related communication devices. Gigaset has a particularly strong position in European residential telephony; VTech reports that the Gigaset brand remains the No. 1 DECT phone brand in Europe. Its Bocholt operation differentiates the company through highly automated “Made in Germany” production, with development, manufacturing, quality control and logistics closely integrated at the site. Since 2024, Gigaset has operated as part of the VTech group, which is expanding the brand across residential phones, professional communications and smartphones.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Battery Degradation / Short Runtime

Rechargeable batteries lose capacity with age, causing very short standby or talk time, unexpected shutdowns, or abnormally fast charging. Gigaset identifies shutdown after less than a day or calls ending after less than about 20 minutes as signs of defective batteries.

Charging Contact Failure

Dirty, corroded, worn, or damaged handset/cradle charging contacts can prevent the battery from charging or make charging intermittent. Older Gigaset service documentation specifically identifies damaged contact springs and charging pads as repair causes.

Handset-to-Base Connection Failure

The handset loses its DECT connection, displays “No Base,” “Base,” or “Register,” or cannot establish calls. Causes can include registration loss, base power problems, defective connections, or faults in the handset/base hardware.

Display Module Failure

The handset LCD may become blank, develop missing rows or columns, or stop displaying information correctly. Gigaset repair documentation treats the display module as a replaceable hardware component when these symptoms are caused by the module itself.

Keypad / Button Failure

One or more handset buttons become unresponsive, intermittent, or cease functioning despite key lock being disabled. Keyboard assemblies are among the handset components covered by Gigaset's hardware repair service.

Microphone Failure

The caller on the far end hears extremely low audio or no voice from the Gigaset handset. Repair documentation identifies microphone degradation, contamination from moisture or residue, and electrical microphone failure as causes.

Earpiece / Speaker Failure

Incoming speech becomes very quiet, distorted, intermittent, or completely inaudible even when volume settings are correct. Speaker/earpiece faults are recognized hardware repair categories in Gigaset service documentation.

Poor DECT Range / Dropped Calls

Calls break up or disconnect as the handset moves away from its base, sometimes at substantially shorter distances than expected. Hardware or radio-path faults can cause this symptom, although walls, metal structures, interference, and base placement can produce the same behavior.

Crackling / Distorted Call Audio

Calls suffer from crackling, rustling, humming, noise, or otherwise degraded audio. Gigaset service material recognizes poor call quality as a fault category, while radio interference, reflections, range limitations, cabling, and defective audio-path components can all produce similar symptoms.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
