Franke repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Professional Coffee Equipment
End Use Segment

Franke Kaffeemaschinen AG is the Swiss manufacturing company at the core of Franke Coffee Systems, specializing in commercial coffee equipment for cafés, restaurants, hotels, convenience stores, quick-service restaurants, offices, and other high-volume professional environments. Its portfolio centers on modular fully automatic coffee machines, including the A Line, as well as the Mytico “BeyondTraditional” platform, semi-automatic and traditional espresso solutions, add-on refrigeration and milk systems, and connected digital services. Franke is particularly known for combining Swiss engineering with high-throughput automation and technologies such as iQFlow, FoamMaster, and CleanMaster, designed to improve beverage consistency, milk preparation, cleaning, and operational efficiency. Franke Coffee Systems operates internationally through locations in Europe, Asia, Japan and the United States and a service/distribution network of more than 320 partners.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Brew Unit Seal and Mechanism Failure

Brew-group piston seals wear, chambers begin leaking, or the mechanism jams and fails to reach its commanded position. Franke documentation repeatedly identifies brew-unit leakage, drive faults, encoder errors, blocked movement, and sealing failures across multiple machine generations.

Grinder Blockage and Calibration Failure

Coffee residue, foreign material, worn burrs, motor problems, or calibration drift can cause blocked grinders, incorrect dosing, and grind-size errors. Franke service documentation contains extensive fault coverage for blocked, defective, overly coarse, and overly fine grinder operation.

Milk System Flow Restriction

Milk proteins and residue can restrict hoses, valves, pumps, and dispensing components, resulting in weak milk flow, foam-only output, or inconsistent beverage volumes. Air leaks in the suction circuit and contaminated internal milk paths are also recurring causes.

Flow Meter and Water-Flow Failure

Flow meters can stop producing reliable pulses because of scale, debris, component failure, or restricted water paths. Affected machines may abort brewing, report insufficient water flow, fail initialization, or dispense incorrect volumes.

Boiler and Heating Element Failure

Coffee, hot-water, and steam boilers can suffer failed heating elements, excessive scale buildup, thermal-fuse failure, or inability to reach operating temperature. Hard-water operation and insufficient descaling substantially increase stress on these components.

Drain Valve and Internal Leakage

Drain valves, pressure-relief valves, brew-module seals, and associated O-rings can leak or fail to actuate correctly. Symptoms include excess water entering the drip tray, loss of brew pressure, initialization errors, and failed brew-unit leak-tightness tests.

Pump and Pressure Failure

Coffee, hot-water, or steam pumps can weaken or fail, producing inadequate pressure or preventing boilers from filling correctly. Pump problems frequently overlap with flow-meter errors, water-supply faults, and inconsistent beverage delivery.

Temperature, Level, and Position Sensor Failure

NTC temperature sensors, boiler-level sensors, brew-unit encoders, float sensors, and related wiring can provide missing or implausible readings. These faults can prevent heating, boiler filling, brew-unit positioning, or normal machine initialization.

Dispensing Outlet / Mechanical Drive Failure

Motorized dispensing outlets and their racks, gears, or drive components can wear, bind, or repeatedly fail to move to the commanded position. Field reports for machines such as the A600 describe rattling, sticking, and recurring mechanical failure of the adjustable outlet assembly.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (October 2, 2026).
