Fluotec repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Fluotec is a Mexican designer and manufacturer of professional lighting equipment, primarily serving television, video, cinema, photography, and other production environments. Founded in 1997 as a division of Teletec and later established as an independent company, it specializes in LED and fluorescent white-light fixtures, including LED panels, Fresnel lights, portable/location lighting, studio lighting, bi-color fixtures, and DMX-controlled systems. The company manufactures both its own branded products and OEM lighting products and has also expanded into specialized municipal/city and public-area LED lighting. Fluotec exports internationally and describes its products as being sold across five continents.

2 Most Seen Failures:

[DMX Control Failure / Intermittent Blinking]

Fixture flickers, blinks, responds erratically, or stops responding when controlled through DMX. This has been specifically reported on older CineLight 120 fixtures and can involve DMX timing, addressing, communication, or control-electronics compatibility.

[LED Array Partial or Complete Failure]

One or more LED sections stop illuminating, become noticeably dimmer, or the entire light engine produces no output. On tunable fixtures, failure of one LED group can also leave the fixture producing predominantly warm or cool light.

[Power Supply / Power Input Failure]

Fixture will not power on, shuts down unexpectedly, or operates intermittently despite a valid AC supply. Fluotec fixtures incorporate universal AC power electronics and powerCON-style connections, making the input connection and internal power electronics key failure points when a unit loses power.

[Color Temperature Calibration Failure]

Tunable fixtures produce an incorrect CCT, uneven white balance, or fail to track correctly across their specified warm-to-daylight range. Fluotec Fresnel controls include dedicated CCT calibration parameters, so calibration or associated LED/control-electronics faults can produce this symptom.

[Local Display or Control-Panel Failure]

LCD/digital display, menu buttons, or local dimming/CCT controls become unresponsive or display incorrect information. Because Fluotec models use the local display and buttons for configuration, addressing, dimming, and other settings, control-panel failure can substantially limit fixture operation.

[Motorized Zoom Failure]

Motorized Fresnel models fail to change beam angle, move only partially, become stuck, or respond incorrectly to local or DMX zoom commands. VegaLux models equipped with motorized zoom depend on the zoom motor, drive mechanism, and control electronics operating together.

[Dimming Failure or Unstable Output]

Fixture fails to dim smoothly, jumps between output levels, remains stuck at a particular intensity, or produces unstable illumination. Fluotec fixtures use integrated electronic dimming controlled locally or through DMX, making the dimming/control path a potential failure area.

[DMX Input/Output or Addressing Failure]

Fixture operates locally but cannot reliably receive, interpret, or pass DMX commands. Symptoms can include complete loss of remote control, incorrect channel behavior, or operation at an unexpected address or personality setting.

[Connector / Cable / Internal Connection Failure]

Power or control becomes intermittent when cables or the fixture are moved, or the unit loses either AC power or DMX communication entirely. Fluotec fixtures rely on external AC and DMX connectors plus their associated internal wiring, making damaged connectors, contacts, or connections a practical hardware failure mode.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
