Fellow repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Specialty Coffee Equipment
End Use Segment

Fellow Industries, Inc., commonly branded simply as Fellow, is a U.S. consumer-products company focused on premium specialty-coffee preparation equipment. Founded in the San Francisco area, the company designs and markets electric and stovetop kettles, burr coffee grinders, automatic coffee brewers, espresso equipment, scales, French presses, vacuum coffee-storage canisters, mugs, carafes, drippers and related brewing tools. It is especially known for the Stagg EKG electric gooseneck kettle, Ode Brew Grinder, Opus grinder, Aiden Precision Coffee Maker, and Carter drinkware lines. Fellow positions its products between professional barista equipment and premium home appliances, emphasizing precise brewing control, minimalist industrial design and specialty-coffee workflows; its products are sold both directly and through major specialty and national retailers.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Grinder Jams and Motor Stalling

Ode and Opus grinders can jam when beans, foreign material, or compacted grounds prevent the burrs or auger from rotating. Affected units may stop before finishing the dose, emit an SOS alert, or fail to restart until the grind chamber is cleared.

Grounds Chute Clogging and Poor Bean Feeding

Coffee buildup can obstruct the load bin, burr chamber, or discharge chute on Ode and Opus grinders, causing beans to stop feeding or grounds to remain trapped inside. Dark and oily coffees tend to increase the likelihood of recurring clogging.

Anti-Static System Performance Loss

The anti-static system used in Opus and other Fellow grinders can lose effectiveness as coffee residue coats the discharge area and anti-static pins. This results in excessive static, grounds sticking to surfaces, and coffee spraying or accumulating around the catch cup.

Burr Binding and Calibration Drift

Ode grinders can develop a stuck adjustment dial, burr contact, or inconsistent grind range when the burrs are improperly calibrated or contaminated with retained grounds. Incorrect calibration can also produce uneven grinding, excessive burr contact, or difficulty adjusting toward finer settings.

Abnormal Burr, Auger, or Motor Noise

Ode grinders can develop knocking, popping, buzzing, scraping, or other abnormal mechanical noises from trapped debris, burr interference, auger issues, or loosened internal hardware. Persistent mechanical resistance may eventually cause the grinder to stall or trigger a jam condition.

Kettle Fails to Heat

Stagg EKG, Corvo EKG, and related electric kettles can power on normally while the heating circuit fails to energize. Reported causes include temperature-sensing faults, base-control electronics, electrical contacts, thermal protection components, and heating-circuit failures.

Incorrect or Frozen Kettle Temperature Reading

EKG-series kettles can display inaccurate, unstable, or frozen temperature readings even though the base and controls remain powered. Temperature-sensor, connection, display, or control-board faults can prevent proper PID temperature regulation or cause the displayed temperature to update incorrectly.

Aiden Water-Flow or False "Add Water" Fault

Aiden Precision Coffee Makers can incorrectly display an "Add Water" warning or interrupt brewing when scale restricts the showerhead or internal water path. Mineral buildup and water-detection or flow-sensing problems are common troubleshooting targets for this symptom.

Atmos Vacuum Seal Loss

Atmos vacuum canisters can gradually stop maintaining vacuum because of contamination, wear, or leakage around the lid and sealing surfaces. The typical symptom is an indicator that rises prematurely or a container that loses its vacuum within hours or days after sealing.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
