Falcon Eyes repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Falcon Eyes Limited is a Hong Kong-founded professional photographic and film-lighting manufacturer established in 1993, with manufacturing operations in Fenggang, Dongguan, Guangdong, China. The company develops and manufactures lighting equipment for photography, cinematography, broadcast, studio and content-production environments, and is particularly known for its LED lighting systems, including ROLLFLEX flexible LED mats, COB studio lights, Fresnel fixtures, RGB/RGBWW lights, soft lights, LED panels and portable fill lights. Its broader product portfolio has historically included studio flash systems, lighting kits, softboxes, reflectors, light stands, background systems and related studio equipment. Falcon Eyes operates both its own branded product lines and OEM manufacturing, with in-house manufacturing/assembly capabilities serving professional and enthusiast imaging markets internationally.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply / Adapter Failure

Falcon Eyes fixtures may fail to power on, shut down intermittently, or lose output because of a defective AC adapter, power brick, DC input circuit, or damaged power cable. RX-series troubleshooting documentation specifically identifies faulty adapters, unstable power supplies, and cable connections as common causes of no-power and intermittent-light conditions.

LED Array Partial Failure

Individual LEDs, complete rows, or sections of the lighting panel can stop illuminating while the remaining LEDs continue operating. RX-24TDX III and F7 Fold owner reports describe entire rows or approximately half of the LED assembly suddenly failing.

Control / Display Board Failure

The rear display or control PCB can become intermittent, unreadable, unresponsive, or fail while the lighting electronics remain partially functional. A documented SO-48TDX II owner report describes the display board beginning to fail within the first year of use.

Overheating and Thermal Shutdown

Higher-powered Falcon Eyes fixtures can overheat and automatically reduce output or shut down until internal temperatures fall. BL-30TD II documentation specifically describes over-temperature shutdown, while owner reports describe repeated shutdowns and even heat-related deformation under demanding operating conditions.

Battery / Charging Circuit Failure

Battery-powered models such as the PockeLite F7 can stop accepting a charge, operate only from external power, or fail to run from the internal battery. Multiple owner reports describe F7 units losing charging or battery-powered operation despite otherwise functioning electronics.

Intermittent or Flickering Light Output

Lighting output can flicker, pulse, or become unstable because of loose panel-to-controller connections, deteriorated cables, unstable power, low battery voltage, or DMX/control interference. Falcon Eyes RX-series troubleshooting material repeatedly identifies these conditions as causes of inconsistent illumination.

Flexible Panel / Internal Trace Failure

Roll-Flex and folding lights can develop dead sections when repeated bending, sharp folding, connector stress, or internal conductor damage interrupts power to part of the LED array. Falcon Eyes specifically warns against excessive bending and sharp folds because they can damage internal components.

Cooling Fan Failure / Restricted Cooling

Fan-cooled models can develop excessive fan noise, reduced airflow, stalled cooling, or thermal protection events when the cooling system deteriorates or vents become obstructed. Because high-output models rely on forced-air cooling, a fan or airflow problem can quickly lead to reduced output or shutdown.

Control Knob / Wireless Control Failure

Rotary controls, Bluetooth/Wi-Fi control, or DMX functions can become unresponsive because of control-board faults, firmware problems, connection failures, or incompatible firmware/app versions. Falcon Eyes documentation includes troubleshooting for unresponsive controls, failed Bluetooth pairing, and firmware compatibility problems across several RGB and Roll-Flex models.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
