Facilis repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Facilis Technology, Inc. is a U.S. manufacturer of professional shared-storage servers and workflow systems built specifically for collaborative media production. Founded in 2003, the company is best known for its Facilis HUB family of high-performance shared-storage servers and its proprietary Facilis Shared File System, which allow multiple editors and content creators to work simultaneously with high-resolution media across Windows, macOS and Linux environments. Its systems are primarily used in television, film, post-production, broadcast, VFX, education, advertising, government and corporate video operations, with support for workflows involving Avid Media Composer, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve and Final Cut Pro. Facilis also develops integrated media-management, remote-access, backup and archival tools such as FastTracker, Object Cloud and related workflow software. Facilis Technology

2 Most Seen Failures:

Hard Drive / SSD Failure

Individual storage drives develop media errors, bad blocks, SMART faults, or become inaccessible, causing a degraded DynaRAID set and reduced fault tolerance. Facilis specifically provides drive-error monitoring, event-log diagnosis, hot-swap replacement, and automatic recovery procedures for failed drives.

Power Supply Failure

A PSU module can fail or produce unstable output, triggering the chassis power alarm and a red or flashing power indicator. Redundant HUB and larger TerraBlock systems can generally continue running on the remaining supply, while single-PSU models such as certain Facilis 8 and TerraBlock 8D systems may shut down completely.

Cooling Fan Failure

High-speed chassis fans can stop, slow below their monitored threshold, or develop bearing faults, causing an audible fan alarm. Continued operation with inadequate cooling can increase internal temperature and place the storage drives and controller hardware at risk.

Overtemperature / Airflow Fault

Blocked airflow, failed cooling components, excessive ambient temperature, or operating the chassis with its cover removed can produce an overtemperature condition. Facilis systems monitor temperature and generate an alarm because excessive heat can destabilize drives and other server electronics.

SAS Storage Controller Failure

A SAS controller or its associated PCIe connection can fail or become unstable, causing multiple attached drives or an entire drive group to disappear simultaneously. HUB models use one or more dedicated SAS controllers, making controller-path faults a critical failure mode when many apparently healthy disks become unavailable together.

Drive Backplane / Slot Connection Failure

A defective drive backplane, connector, power contact, or individual drive bay can intermittently disconnect a disk even when the disk itself remains functional. Typical symptoms include repeated drive dropouts, errors returning in the same physical slot, or a replacement drive failing to remain detected.

System / OS Drive Failure

The internal system disk or SSD containing Windows and the Facilis server environment can fail, preventing normal boot or stopping storage services from loading correctly. HUB One systems use redundant OS drives specifically to improve resilience against this class of failure.

Fibre Channel HBA / Link Failure

A Fibre Channel host-bus adapter, SFP/transceiver, port, or physical link can fail and cause client workstations or HUB member servers to lose access to shared storage. Symptoms can include missing volumes, intermittent disconnects, or severe throughput degradation despite the storage disks remaining healthy.

Ethernet NIC / Network Interface Failure

Server Ethernet adapters or their physical ports can fail, negotiate incorrectly, or become unstable, resulting in lost connectivity or sharply reduced shared-storage performance. Because Facilis systems may aggregate or team multiple Ethernet interfaces for bandwidth, failure of one interface can also appear as reduced throughput rather than a complete outage.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
