Faber repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Faber S.p.A. is an Italian appliance manufacturer specializing in kitchen air-treatment and ventilation equipment, particularly range/cooker hoods, extractor systems, integrated hob extractors, and related induction cooking products. Founded in the Fabriano area in 1955, Faber became known internationally for developing and industrializing the modern motor-powered kitchen hood and for combining extraction performance with Italian industrial design. Since 2005, Faber has operated as the air-expertise/hood business within Switzerland-based Franke Group, supplying products both under the Faber brand and as an OEM manufacturer. Its Sassoferrato factory uses advanced sheet-metal fabrication, laser processing, robotics, automated assembly, and quality-control systems to produce domestic ventilation appliances

2 Most Seen Failures:

Blower Motor Failure

The extraction motor may stop completely, run intermittently, or lose power as its windings or bearings deteriorate. Symptoms include little or no suction, abnormal humming, overheating, or the fan failing to start despite working controls.

Motor Start/Run Capacitor Failure

A deteriorated motor capacitor can prevent the blower from developing enough starting torque. The motor may hum without spinning, start only intermittently, rotate slowly, or require assistance before reaching normal speed.

Control Board / Motherboard Failure

Electronic control boards can fail because of heat, moisture, grease contamination, component aging, or electrical surges. A defective board may leave the hood completely unresponsive or cause intermittent fan speeds, lighting, sensor, or control functions.

Touch Panel / Control Switch Failure

Push buttons, rotary controls, capacitive touch panels, and their associated control circuits can become intermittent or stop responding. The hood may remain powered but refuse to change fan speed, activate lighting, or respond to individual commands.

LED Lighting / Driver Failure

LED modules, electronic transformers, drivers, lamp connectors, or their control circuits can fail while the extraction system continues to operate normally. Typical symptoms are completely dead lights, flickering, reduced brightness, or only some lamps illuminating.

Blower Wheel Imbalance or Damage

The centrifugal blower wheel can loosen, become contaminated with grease, deform, or develop damaged blades. This commonly produces excessive vibration, rattling, reduced airflow, and increased mechanical noise as fan speed rises.

Wiring and Connector Failure

Internal harnesses, flat cables, motor connectors, lighting connectors, and power-feed connections can loosen, oxidize, overheat, or become damaged. Depending on the affected circuit, the result can be a dead motor, nonfunctional controls, failed lighting, or intermittent operation.

Grease Filter / Airflow Restriction

Grease-saturated filters and restricted exhaust paths substantially reduce extraction performance and increase load on the blower. Users typically report weak suction, excessive noise, lingering odors, and poor removal of steam even though the motor is still running.

Sensor / Safety Microswitch Failure

Faber models equipped with heat sensors, automatic controls, lift mechanisms, or safety microswitches can develop sensor or switching faults. Symptoms may include warning indicators, incorrect automatic fan behavior, disabled movement, or the hood entering a protective fault state.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
