Intermittent or Failed HDMI Output
External displays flicker, randomly disconnect, fail to wake, or produce no image through EZQuest USB-C multimedia hubs. Some units become increasingly inconsistent before HDMI output stops functioning entirely.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
EZQuest, Inc. is a privately held consumer-electronics accessory OEM/brand founded in 1994. It originally specialized in storage products for Apple Macintosh computers, including external hard drives and optical/storage systems, before shifting toward connectivity and mobile-computing accessories. Today, its portfolio centers on USB-C hubs and docking products, adapters, chargers, USB/Thunderbolt and HDMI cables, card readers, SSD enclosures, and Mac/mobile accessories. The company particularly targets MacBook, laptop, tablet, smartphone, and other USB-C users and emphasizes compact aluminum designs, connectivity expansion, durability, and compatibility with Apple hardware. EZQuest is especially associated with USB-C connectivity products and historically received recognition from publications including Macworld, PC Magazine, Consumers Digest, and MacAddict for its storage and accessory products.

The hub's USB-C host or connection port can become intermittent or completely nonfunctional, causing the entire hub or individual interfaces to disappear. Complete USB-C port failure after a relatively short period of use has also been reported.
EZQuest hubs may fail to charge the connected laptop or device, particularly when the power adapter cannot supply enough wattage for both the hub and host. Insufficient PD power can also cause peripherals to become unstable or disconnect.
USB drives, SD cards, Ethernet, and video outputs can simultaneously drop when hub power is interrupted or high-current peripherals are attached. Bus-powered storage devices are particularly susceptible when the hub has insufficient available power.
The integrated Ethernet interface may fail to establish a network connection, disappear from the operating system, or require driver troubleshooting before functioning. Compatibility problems have also been reported on certain mobile-device configurations.
Built-in card readers may intermittently fail to detect SD or microSD media, reject certain card adapters, or require repeated insertion. Card-reader performance can also be substantially slower than using a dedicated external reader.
Connected USB devices may not enumerate or may disappear when attached through an EZQuest hub or adapter. The problem is more likely with high-power peripherals or configurations sharing limited hub power and bandwidth.
Some EZQuest USB-C hubs become noticeably hot during sustained data, display, or charging workloads. Extended high-load operation produces significant enclosure temperatures and can accompany power or connection instability.
EZQuest USB-C mini and angle adapters can exhibit intermittent display connections or insufficient power delivery with demanding peripherals. Symptoms include monitor signal loss, devices reporting inadequate power, or accessories functioning only intermittently.
