EVGA repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

EVGA Corporation is a computer-hardware company best known for enthusiast and gaming PC components. Historically, EVGA was one of the largest North American suppliers of NVIDIA-based graphics cards, building a strong reputation around its GeForce GPU products, overclocking-oriented designs, and enthusiast-focused hardware. EVGA ended production of new NVIDIA graphics cards in 2022 and has continued with other PC-component categories, including power supplies, motherboards, cooling products, gaming keyboards and mice, capture devices, and related accessories. Its products primarily serve desktop gaming, PC-building, and enthusiast computing applications. IEEE Computer Society

2 Most Seen Failures:

[RTX 3090 FTW3 Power-Stage / Solder Failure]

[Early EVGA RTX 3090 FTW3 cards could suddenly lose video output and become inoperable, often showing a red power LED. EVGA's investigation of 24 failed cards associated with New World found poor soldering workmanship around MOSFET circuitry as the cause.]

[RTX 3080/3090 FTW3 Red-Light / No-POST Failure]

[FTW3 30-series owners repeatedly reported cards crashing and subsequently booting with a solid red LED near a PCIe power connector, no display output, and a motherboard VGA error. Reports particularly involve RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 FTW3 models.]

[GTX 1070/1080 ACX 3.0 VRM/PWM Overheating]

[Several EVGA GTX 1070 and GTX 1080 ACX 3.0 models exhibited unusually high PWM/VRM temperatures because the original cooling arrangement lacked sufficient thermal coupling. EVGA responded with revised VBIOS fan curves and optional thermal-pad kits.]

[RTX 30-Series Fan Failure]

[EVGA RTX 30-series cards, particularly some XC3 models, have reports of individual cooling fans stopping or multiple fans becoming nonfunctional. Severe cases can leave insufficient airflow and cause crashes or thermal problems under sustained load.]

[RTX 20-Series Fan/RGB Connection Failure]

[RTX 2070, 2080 and 2080 Ti XC/XC Ultra cards can exhibit non-working fans or RGB lighting due to fan/RGB harness connections at the PCB. EVGA published a dedicated support procedure for checking and reseating these connectors.]

[RTX 20-Series Fan Start/Stop Clicking]

[Some EVGA RTX 20-series coolers develop repeated clicking or grinding-like sounds when fans transition between zero-RPM mode and their minimum operating speed. The symptom is particularly noticeable when GPU temperature repeatedly crosses the fan-start threshold.]

[RTX 30-Series Fan/RGB Controller Malfunction]

[FTW3/XC3 cards can exhibit maximum-speed fans, missing RPM control, disabled RGB, or abnormal indicator LEDs when the card's control subsystem or firmware fails to initialize correctly. Similar apparent controller failures can also be caused by monitoring/firmware communication problems rather than a physically failed fan controller.]

[GTX 1070/1080 VRM Component Burnout]

[Some EVGA Pascal ACX 3.0 cards suffered catastrophic power-component failures involving MOSFET/VRM areas, sometimes leaving visibly scorched PCBs or a completely dead graphics card. The incidents prompted extensive investigation alongside EVGA's thermal-pad and VBIOS response.]

[SuperNOVA PSU Relay/Power-Cycling Failure]

[Some EVGA SuperNOVA power-supply owners report abnormal repeated clicking accompanied by unstable output, failed startup, or display/system interruptions. A single click during startup or shutdown can be normal relay operation, but continuous cycling accompanied by power instability indicates a fault rather than normal ECO-mode behavior.]

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most EVGA devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (September 28, 2026).
