Eversolo repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Eversolo Audio Technology Co., Ltd. is a Shenzhen-based high-fidelity consumer-audio developer and brand backed by Zidoo Technology. The company specializes in digital audio playback and develops hardware and software spanning audio decoding, analog audio circuitry, acoustic tuning, amplification, system integration, and user interfaces. Its core products include network music streamers/players, streaming transports, high-resolution DACs, headphone amplifiers, preamplifiers, and integrated streaming amplifiers. Eversolo is particularly known in the audiophile market for its DMP-series music streamers, including the DMP-A6, DMP-A8, and DMP-A10, which combine high-resolution digital playback, DAC functionality, touchscreen interfaces, streaming services, and extensive audio connectivity. Its products are positioned primarily for home Hi-Fi/audiophile listening rather than mass-market portable audio.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply Failure / Unit Completely Dead

DMP-A6 Gen 2 and DMP-A6 Master Edition Gen 2 units have repeatedly been reported to shut down and subsequently show no power, display, or illuminated control ring. Multiple reported repairs involved replacement of the internal power-supply assembly, although Eversolo has not published an official failure rate or affected serial-number range.

Boot Loop / Failure to Start

DMP-A6-family players have been reported repeatedly restarting, hanging during startup, or becoming unable to boot normally. Causes reported or documented include system/main-board faults, corrupted system state, and improperly seated M.2 SSDs, with Eversolo providing an Android recovery procedure for startup failures.

Streaming / Network Audio Dropouts

DMP-series streamers are reported to intermittently stop, skip, or drop audio during network playback, including DLNA/Roon/streaming-service use. Eversolo firmware release notes repeatedly address device discovery, automatic track skipping, playback failures, and related streaming reliability problems.

Analog Output Distortion / Crackling / Clipping

DMP-A6 and DMP-A8 users have reported crackling, distortion, or clipping from analog RCA/XLR output while equivalent digital-output paths remain unaffected or substantially cleaner. Reports commonly implicate the DAC/analog-output path or device configuration, although a universal hardware cause has not been established.

Bluetooth Connects but Produces No Audio

DMP-A8 users have reported Bluetooth remaining discoverable and successfully pairing while producing no audio output. Reboots or resets do not always immediately restore operation, suggesting failure within the Bluetooth input/audio-routing path rather than simple pairing failure.

M.2 SSD Not Detected / SSD-Induced Rebooting

DMP-series players can fail to recognize an installed NVMe SSD or repeatedly reboot when SSD contact is poor. Eversolo specifically warns that an incompletely inserted M.2 SSD can cause poor electrical contact, short-circuit behavior, continuous startup rebooting, and potential SSD damage.

USB Peripheral Power / Recognition Failure

DMP-A6-family units can fail to operate bus-powered optical drives or other higher-current USB peripherals reliably when the available USB power is insufficient. Eversolo specifies a maximum USB supply current and recommends an external power adapter or powered/splitter arrangement for optical drives.

SPDIF Input Audio Dropouts

DAC-Z8 units have exhibited intermittent audio loss when receiving signals through SPDIF inputs. Eversolo explicitly acknowledged this behavior in firmware release notes and issued a firmware fix for occasional SPDIF-input audio dropouts.

Volume-Control / Unexpected Level Changes

DMP-A8 systems have been reported to exhibit abnormal volume changes, including sudden jumps to the configured maximum when controlled through certain external software. Evidence indicates at least some occurrences are integration/software-related rather than failure of the A8's resistor-ladder volume hardware, but the resulting output-level behavior is a recurring operational failure reported by owners.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
