SD Card / Storage Failure
Unit fails to boot, freezes, or cannot save and recall kits, patterns, or presets. Most frequently associated with PĒRKONS HD-01 and failed, corrupted, incompatible, or poorly connected SD cards.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Erica Synths SIA is a Latvian electronic musical-instrument designer and manufacturer founded around 2013–2014 and best known for its Eurorack modular synthesizer equipment. The company develops synthesizers, drum machines, effects processors, desktop instruments and a broad range of Eurorack modules aimed primarily at electronic musicians, producers and live performers. Its roots are in DIY analog synthesizer kits, but it has expanded into complete hardware instruments and sophisticated modular systems. Erica Synths emphasizes that its instruments are designed and manufactured in Latvia, using a Latvian electronics-manufacturing supply chain rather than outsourcing production to Asia. The company is particularly associated with distinctive analog and experimental sound design, performance-oriented interfaces and its extensive Eurorack catalog; Latvian investment-agency material has described it as one of the world's larger modular-synthesizer manufacturers.
Unit fails to boot, freezes, or cannot save and recall kits, patterns, or presets. Most frequently associated with PĒRKONS HD-01 and failed, corrupted, incompatible, or poorly connected SD cards.
Rotary encoder skips values, moves parameters in the wrong direction, changes values unexpectedly, or fails to register a push. Reported across models including LXR-02, Steampipe, Nightverb, Echolocator, and Xenodrive.
Unit is completely dead, powers only intermittently, or briefly illuminates LEDs before shutting down. Causes reported across Erica Synths hardware include power-supply faults, power-distribution problems, SD-card/MCU-board faults, and damaged power-regulation circuitry.
Device powers normally but produces no audio, intermittent audio, or an abnormally weak output. Faults may occur in the output stage, VCA/signal path, jack connections, or associated power circuitry.
Output develops abnormal hiss, crackle, high-frequency noise, feedback, or self-oscillation beyond the expected operating behavior. Genuine noise faults must be distinguished from intentionally noisy designs and modes such as Zen Delay Vintage mode and the LXR-02 Napalm kit.
Oscillator no longer tracks 1V/oct accurately, has unstable tuning, or cannot be brought into calibration across its expected range. The symptom is especially relevant to Erica Synths analog VCO and Pico-series modules.
MIDI input appears unresponsive, notes or CC messages are ignored, or communication works intermittently. Causes include hardware/interface faults as well as TRS MIDI wiring standards, channel configuration, and firmware behavior that can mimic hardware failure.
Sequencer misses steps, fails to start or stop correctly, behaves incorrectly with external clock, or produces unstable gate timing. Erica Synths firmware history documents multiple clock, reset, MIDI start/stop, and external-sync related faults.
Unit freezes, behaves unpredictably, loses or fails to load presets, or becomes unusable after an update or corrupted stored data. Reinstalling firmware, restoring factory data, or replacing corrupted storage may resolve the symptom when the underlying electronics are intact.
