EndRun Technologies repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

End Use Segment

EndRun Technologies LLC is a U.S. manufacturer specializing in high-precision time and frequency synchronization equipment for mission-critical electronic and network infrastructure. Founded in 1998, it designs and manufactures GPS-synchronized NTP network time servers, IEEE-1588/PTP grandmaster clocks, precision time and frequency standards, timing modules, and signal-distribution equipment. Its products are used in computer networks, telecommunications, financial trading systems, power utilities, satellite earth stations, broadcast facilities, military/test-range applications, and other environments requiring highly accurate and stable synchronization. EndRun is particularly known for its Sonoma network time servers, Meridian II and Tycho II Precision TimeBase systems, GPS-derived timing accuracy, oscillator/holdover options, and security-hardened network synchronization products.

2 Most Seen Failures:

GPS Antenna / Downlead Failure

The external GPS/GNSS antenna or coaxial downlead develops an open circuit, short circuit, damaged connector, or abnormal current condition. EndRun equipment commonly reports ANT, OPEN, or SHRT faults and may lose satellite synchronization as a result.

GPS Signal Acquisition Loss

The receiver cannot acquire or maintain usable GPS/GNSS satellite signals despite normal operation. Common hardware causes include a degraded antenna, damaged coaxial path, failed low-noise antenna electronics, or deterioration in the receiver RF section.

Oscillator Aging / DAC Limit

The disciplined oscillator drifts far enough with age that its electronic frequency-control DAC reaches its high or low correction limit. EndRun states that this is normally an end-of-life condition appearing after many years of operation and ultimately requires oscillator replacement.

Main Oscillator Failure

The internal OCXO, TCXO, rubidium, or other reference oscillator stops operating correctly or becomes unstable beyond the control system's usable range. EndRun identifies the OSC condition as a fatal receiver fault requiring service.

Oscillator PLL Unlock

The phase-locked loop between the system/reference oscillator and the receiver or other timing clocks loses lock. This produces unstable or unavailable precision timing outputs and is identified by EndRun as a fatal PLL hardware fault.

Power Supply Failure

An internal primary or redundant power supply ceases producing its required output, causing a PRIPS or SECPS alarm and potentially loss of operation if redundancy is unavailable. Power-overload conditions within configured chassis hardware can also trigger EndRun's PWR fault.

GPS Receiver Communication Failure

The system processor or GPS subsystem loses electrical communication with the internal GPS receiver. EndRun documents RCVC/COM faults across several timing platforms and directs persistent cases to factory service.

FPGA Configuration Failure

The GPS receiver or timing subsystem cannot successfully configure its FPGA during startup or operation. EndRun classifies the FPGA condition as a fatal fault because the affected timing hardware cannot perform its required processing.

FLASH / Nonvolatile Memory Failure

The timing subsystem cannot successfully write to or verify its FLASH nonvolatile parameter storage. EndRun states that this should not occur during normal operation and treats a persistent FLSH fault as a hardware/service condition.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most EndRun Technologies devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
