Enabot Limited is a Shenzhen-based consumer robotics company founded in 2018 that develops and manufactures compact AI-enabled family, pet-care, monitoring, and companion robots. Its best-known products are the EBO family of mobile home robots and the ROLA pet-focused range. These devices combine autonomous mobility, cameras, two-way audio/video, remote app control, AI interaction, automatic patrol and charging, pet entertainment, home monitoring, and, on higher-end models, visual navigation and family-care functions. Current products include the EBO Max, EBO X, EBO Air 2 series, EBO Mini series, EBO SE series, ROLA Mini, ROLA PetPal, PetTracker, and related smart pet products. Enabot says R&D comprises about 70% of its team and positions its products around keeping families, pets, children, and older relatives connected when users are away from home.
EBO robots commonly develop wheels that stop turning, bind, run unevenly, or cause the robot to pull to one side. Hair and debris frequently jam the wheel modules, while persistent cases can involve worn treads, wheel assemblies, or drive motors.
Robots may fail to charge reliably because of dirty, oxidized, misaligned, or poorly contacting dock terminals. Enabot specifically documents unstable copper-contact connections and lists charging-dock boards and charging FPC assemblies as serviceable parts.
Lithium-ion battery degradation can cause reduced runtime, inability to power on, unexpected shutdowns, or failure to accept a charge. Enabot and iFixit both identify battery replacement as a normal repair path on EBO models.
EBO units may fail to locate, approach, or correctly seat on their charging dock. Problems can originate from dirty ranging sensors, wheel faults, dock positioning, charging-contact issues, or navigation hardware.
A damaged or failing camera can produce blurry, distorted, intermittent, or completely missing video. Camera modules are separately replaceable on EBO SE and EBO Air and are included in Enabot's official out-of-warranty repair parts list.
Users can experience weak, distorted, intermittent, or missing speaker audio during two-way communication. Enabot treats the speaker as an individually replaceable hardware component on both EBO SE and EBO Air.
Motherboard faults can cause the robot to become unresponsive, behave erratically, fail to boot, or cruise unexpectedly even after firmware troubleshooting. Both Enabot's service pricing and iFixit documentation identify motherboard replacement as a major repair.
A defective USB cable, adapter, or power connection can leave the robot unable to charge or power up. Enabot troubleshooting specifically directs users to check the charging supply, and both adapters and charging cables appear in its service-parts schedule.
Dirty or defective ToF, anti-drop, or navigation sensors can cause poor obstacle detection, abnormal steering, or failure to return to the dock. Enabot specifically instructs users to clean the ToF sensor when docking/navigation problems occur, indicating this sensing path is a recurring failure point.
