Elite Screens repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Projection Screens
End Use Segment

Elite Screens, Inc., founded in 2004, is a projection-screen manufacturer serving residential home-theater, commercial AV, education, presentation, and professional installation markets. Its product portfolio includes fixed-frame, manual pull-down, motorized/retractable, floor-rising, portable and outdoor projection screens, along with specialized screen materials such as ambient-light-rejecting (ALR), ceiling-light-rejecting (CLR), acoustically transparent, and rear-projection surfaces. The company operates internationally, with manufacturing bases reported in China, Taiwan, India, and Vietnam, and also provides OEM/ODM and custom-production services. Elite Screens is especially known for offering a broad range of projector-screen formats and sizes at comparatively accessible price points, while its Elite ProAV division targets commercial integrators and professional AV installations.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Screen Material Waves or Ripples

Retractable Elite Screens frequently develop waves, edge curl, wrinkles, or memory lines in the projection material, particularly on non-tensioned models. Rolling storage, uneven tension, temperature, and material relaxation can make the projected surface less flat.

Manual Retraction or Locking Mechanism Failure

Manual and Manual SRM screens can become stuck, refuse to retract, or fail to engage and release the locking mechanism correctly. The internal spring or retract mechanism may require re-tensioning when normal pull-and-release operation no longer works.

Remote Control or RF Receiver Failure

Motorized screens may stop responding to their IR or RF remote even though the screen still operates from another control method. Common causes include receiver/control-system faults, lost RF pairing, electrical interference, or failure within the remote-control circuit.

Control Board Failure

The electronic control board used in Spectrum, VMAX, Saker, Evanesce, Kestrel, CineTension and other electric models can fail and leave the screen completely or intermittently inoperative. Reported board faults include failed power-supply components, capacitors, relays, and other components that prevent the motor from receiving commands.

Tubular Motor Failure or Intermittent Operation

Electric screens can stop moving, operate intermittently, make abnormal noises, or cease responding in one or both directions when the tubular motor or its associated circuitry deteriorates. Some apparent failures are caused by the motor's thermal protection opening after overheating.

Limit Switch or Stop-Position Failure

Motorized screens can lose their correct upper or lower stopping position, over-travel, stop too early, or continue running beyond the intended deployment point. Incorrect or drifting limit settings can strain the roller and motor and may eventually cause mechanical damage.

Tab-Tension Cable or Tensioning Failure

Tab-tensioned models can develop loose, damaged, or incorrectly adjusted side tension cables, producing wrinkles, uneven edges, or a screen that does not hang flat. Elite provides specific tension-string adjustment procedures for several Evanesce, Aerie, and other tab-tension designs.

Screen Material Detachment or Uneven Rolling

The projection material can detach from the roller, roll unevenly, develop a bottom wrinkle, or enter the housing crooked. Elite specifically warns that leaving manual screens deployed for extended periods can contribute to material separation from the roller.

Fuse, Power Supply, or Wired-Control Failure

Electric Elite Screens may show no movement because of a blown internal fuse, failed power connection, wall-switch fault, trigger-system problem, or damaged wiring between the controller and motor. These faults typically present as a completely dead screen or one that works from only some of its available control inputs.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
