ECOVACS Robotics repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

ECOVACS Robotics is a Chinese robotics and smart-appliance manufacturer founded in 1998 and best known for its DEEBOT robotic vacuum and floor-cleaning systems. The company develops and manufactures autonomous service robots using technologies such as computer vision, navigation and mapping, AI, sensors, automated docking, obstacle avoidance, and robotic cleaning systems. Its product portfolio has expanded beyond robot vacuums into robotic window cleaners, robotic lawn mowers, commercial service robots, and other intelligent home-cleaning products, while the broader ECOVACS Group also owns the Tineco smart-appliance brand. ECOVACS describes its focus as developing domestic and commercial service robots, and its products are sold across nearly 180 markets worldwide.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Battery / Charging Failure

Battery degradation, deep discharge, oxidized charging contacts, or defective dock contacts can cause the robot to stop charging, shut down prematurely, or fail to power on. Older DEEBOT models are particularly susceptible to battery capacity loss and contact-related charging faults.

LiDAR / LDS Navigation Sensor Failure

The rotating LDS/LiDAR assembly can stop spinning or fail to detect its surroundings, resulting in navigation errors, failed mapping, repeated spinning, or an inability to complete cleaning. Persistent LDS errors after removing debris generally indicate a failing sensor motor, module, or associated electronics.

Drive Wheel / Wheel Motor Failure

Hair and debris can seize the wheel assemblies, while worn motors, gearboxes, encoders, or wiring can cause one wheel to stop driving altogether. Typical symptoms include moving in circles, dragging one side, stopping unexpectedly, or reporting a driving-wheel error.

Main Brush / Brush Motor Failure

Hair and debris frequently bind the main roller, increasing load on the brush motor and drivetrain. A failed motor, damaged gearbox, or seized bearing can leave the main brush completely stationary even after the roller has been cleaned.

Bumper / Collision Sensor Failure

The spring-loaded front bumper can become mechanically stuck or its internal switches and sensors can stop registering correctly. The robot may repeatedly reverse, spin, stop with an obstacle warning, or behave as though it is continuously contacting an object.

Cliff / Anti-Drop Sensor Failure

Dirty, damaged, or malfunctioning infrared cliff sensors can falsely detect stairs or drop-offs on level flooring. This commonly causes the robot to stop, reverse repeatedly, refuse to enter certain areas, or become trapped despite having no physical obstruction.

Vacuum / Suction Motor Failure

The high-speed vacuum fan motor can wear out, seize, or suffer electrical failure, producing weak or completely absent suction despite a clear dust path and clean filter. Motor or control-board faults may also cause abnormal noise or intermittent suction.

Docking / Charging Station Failure

Failed dock power electronics, worn or recessed charging pins, oxidized contacts, or station communication faults can prevent automatic docking and charging. The robot may repeatedly approach and leave the station, fail to recognize it, or make contact without beginning a charge cycle.

OMNI Water System / Pump Failure

Models with OZMO or OMNI wet-cleaning systems can develop failed pumps, blocked water passages, faulty tank detection, or dirty-water extraction problems. Symptoms include no water reaching the mop pads, false empty/full-tank warnings, water remaining in the cleaning sink, or failure of the station's mop-washing cycle.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most ECOVACS Robotics devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
