Ecler repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Ecler is a Spanish professional audio and audiovisual equipment manufacturer founded in Barcelona and known historically for professional DJ mixers and power amplifiers, particularly its SCLAT mixers and patented SPM amplifier technology. Today the company operates primarily in the installed professional AV market, designing and manufacturing amplifiers, loudspeakers, digital audio matrices and processors, installation mixers, networked and wireless audio systems, media players, wall controllers, video distribution/conversion equipment, and associated control software. Its systems are aimed at commercial installations such as retail stores, hospitality venues, corporate facilities, education, fitness centers, entertainment venues, and other fixed-installation environments. Ecler emphasizes in-house engineering, manufacturing and 100% production testing and holds ISO 9001 manufacturing certification. The Ecler brand is currently produced by NEEC Audio Barcelona, S.L

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply Failure

Unit fails to power on, powers intermittently, or shuts down because of failed switching-supply components, electrolytic capacitors, regulators, or damaged PSU circuitry. Older Ecler mixers and amplifiers are particularly susceptible to age- and heat-related power-supply faults.

Scratchy or Failed Potentiometers

Channel gain, EQ, balance, or level controls develop scratching, signal dropouts, or inconsistent levels as potentiometer tracks and contacts wear or become contaminated. Heavily used DJ and installation mixers are especially prone to control wear.

Fader and Crossfader Failure

Channel or crossfaders develop dead spots, intermittent audio, channel imbalance, or complete signal loss from worn conductive tracks and contacts. High-cycle DJ mixer models are the most likely to exhibit this mechanical-electrical wear.

Amplifier Protection / No Output

An amplifier powers up but one or more channels remain muted or repeatedly enter protection because of output-stage faults, DC detection, excessive current, short circuits, or abnormal load conditions. Failed output transistors and associated driver circuitry can produce the same symptom.

Thermal Shutdown / Overheating

Amplifiers mute, reduce output, or cycle into thermal protection when cooling airflow is restricted or fans, heatsinks, thermal interfaces, or output stages develop problems. Ecler amplifiers specifically incorporate thermal protection that activates at elevated output-stage temperatures.

Distorted or Weak Audio Output

Audio becomes distorted, clipped, noisy, low in level, or loses part of the frequency range because of deteriorated analog-stage components, op-amps, capacitors, connectors, or output circuitry. The problem can affect an individual input channel or the master/booth output path.

DSP / Digital Processing Failure

Digital Ecler mixers, processors, and network amplifiers can lose effects, routing, processing, or audio while their basic analog functions remain operational. Faults may originate in DSP circuitry, digital power rails, memory/firmware, or supporting components.

Network / Wireless Audio Dropouts

Network-controlled and WiSpeak products can experience intermittent audio, lost device communication, or complete audio dropout when network connectivity or wireless synchronization fails. Ecler specifically documents WiSpeak network faults as a cause of simultaneous speaker audio loss or dropouts.

Relay / Standby Switching Failure

Units may fail to leave standby, produce no output after startup, switch unpredictably, or exhibit abnormal power-on/power-off behavior because of defective relays or their control circuitry. Aging relay contacts can also create intermittent channel output or delayed speaker connection.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
