Eartec repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Eartec Co. is a U.S. professional communications equipment OEM specializing in hands-free wired and wireless headset/intercom systems for teams that need continuous communication while working. Its product portfolio includes the UltraLITE and PRO16 full-duplex wireless systems, HUB and interface systems, UltraPAK transceivers, and wired industrial/pro-audio headsets such as the Max4G, ProLine, XTreme, Monarch, and Cyber. Its equipment is aimed particularly at film and television production, live events, industrial crews, healthcare, plant operations, sports, and other coordinated work environments. Eartec is particularly associated with affordable full-duplex wireless crew communication, allowing multiple users to speak simultaneously rather than using conventional push-to-talk radios, and it also makes interfaces that integrate its wireless equipment with established wired intercom platforms. 2 Most Seen Failures:

Battery Capacity Loss / Short Runtime

Rechargeable Li-Poly batteries gradually lose capacity, causing UltraLITE, HUB, UltraPAK, ComSTAR, and related units to shut down prematurely or provide substantially less operating time between charges. Aging batteries can eventually prevent reliable startup altogether.

Headset Pairing / Link Failure

Remote headsets may fail to connect to the MAIN headset, HUB, or Com-Center, leaving the unit searching or unable to join the intercom network. Clearing stored programming and re-pairing the affected transceiver is a frequently documented recovery procedure.

Microphone Boom / Wiring Failure

Repeated rotation and handling of the microphone boom can loosen the boom assembly or damage its internal wiring, resulting in intermittent or completely lost microphone audio. Replacement microphone boom assemblies are available for UltraLITE HD hardware.

Microphone Audio Failure

A headset may continue receiving audio normally while its microphone stops transmitting, producing a hear-but-cannot-talk condition. Field reports on ComSTAR hardware describe microphone and associated internal connection failures after extended use.

Charging / Charger Failure

Multi-port chargers, AC adapters, battery contacts, or individual charging bays can stop charging batteries correctly or produce inconsistent charge status. Poor battery contact can similarly leave an apparently charged headset with insufficient operating power.

Wireless Connection Dropouts

UltraLITE, HUB, ComSTAR, and related DECT transceivers can lose their wireless link, repeatedly search for the MAIN/base unit, or fail to establish a stable connection. Transceiver electronics, stored pairing data, system configuration, or an unavailable MAIN/HUB unit can produce this behavior.

Microphone Boom Mute / Switch Failure

Eartec headsets use the boom position as part of the microphone mute mechanism, and wear or mechanical damage around the boom's rotation and stop assembly can interfere with normal microphone activation. A damaged stop or switch mechanism can leave the microphone permanently muted or intermittently operating.

Transceiver / Main Unit Failure

Failure of the programmable transceiver electronics can prevent a MAIN headset, Remote headset, UltraPAK, HUB, or similar unit from establishing communication despite otherwise appearing powered. Eartec stocks complete replacement transceivers and electronic components for these systems.

Headset Mechanical Wear / Structural Failure

Heavy use can produce loose microphone arms, failed swivel mechanisms, deteriorated ear padding, clips, headband components, and other physical wear. In severe cases the boom can become detached or internal conductors can be damaged, requiring mechanical parts or complete headset replacement.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
