Fan Motor Failure
Whisper, Whisper Flex, and related fan models may continue oscillating while the main fan blades stop spinning. Duux identifies a defective motor as the most likely cause when this occurs.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Duux B.V. is a Dutch consumer-appliance OEM/brand specializing in indoor climate and air-treatment equipment, combining Dutch industrial design with consumer-oriented environmental controls. Its hardware portfolio includes standing, table and tower fans; smart air purifiers; ultrasonic and evaporative humidifiers; dehumidifiers; portable air conditioners; ceramic, convector and oil-filled heaters; and more recently heated blankets and cushions. Duux emphasizes quiet operation, energy efficiency, minimalist interior-friendly design, and connected control through its Duux smart-home app. The company describes itself as having more than 20 years of experience and sells its products internationally; its current support catalog includes major families such as Whisper, Whisper Flex, Elevate, Bright, Tube, Beam, Neo, Bora, North, Edge and Threesixty. Duux's own branding strongly emphasizes Dutch Design, while product manuals and retail origin records show that its physical hardware is predominantly manufactured in China.
Whisper, Whisper Flex, and related fan models may continue oscillating while the main fan blades stop spinning. Duux identifies a defective motor as the most likely cause when this occurs.
Duux fans can lose horizontal or vertical oscillation while other fan functions remain operational. Duux attributes persistent loss of oscillation primarily to a defective oscillation motor.
Tag, Beam, and Beam Mini humidifiers may stop producing mist or produce extremely weak/intermittent mist despite powering on. Causes range from water-path contamination or improper reservoir levels to failure of the internal fan responsible for moving the mist upward.
Tag, Beam, and other Duux humidifiers can develop leakage around the reservoir or tank connection. A stretched or deteriorated tank-cap O-ring is a documented failure point on Tag models, while other models may require service when leakage develops.
Whisper Flex and related models can develop defective displays or control interfaces that no longer illuminate or operate correctly. Duux specifically recognizes display failure as a service or replacement condition.
Duux air conditioners, dehumidifiers, and air purifiers can develop faulty temperature, evaporator, coil, or air-quality sensors. Examples include E0/E3 errors on North air conditioners, E1/E2 faults on Bora dehumidifiers, and persistently abnormal readings on Bright air purifiers.
North and other Duux portable air conditioners may power on while the compressor fails to start, resulting in little or no cooling. Overtemperature protection can temporarily stop the compressor, but a persistent condition requires service.
Whisper, Whisper Flex, and Whisper Flex Ultimate models can develop visibly wobbling or unbalanced fan blades. Duux treats persistent blade imbalance as a component fault and provides replacement blades when applicable.
Duux fans can develop persistent ticking, cracking, rattling, or other mechanical noises during operation. If correct assembly does not eliminate the noise, Duux directs the unit to service, indicating a mechanical fan, drive, or mounting fault.
