No Steam Output
Unit heats or powers normally but little or no steam reaches the hose or accessory. Common causes include restricted steam passages, hose/valve problems, improper pressure buildup, or mineral scale inside the boiler system.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Dupray is a Canadian-founded appliance OEM/brand specializing in high-performance residential and commercial cleaning equipment, particularly dry-vapor steam cleaners. The company originated in Montreal after its founders used commercial steam equipment for cleaning dirt, graffiti, and gum, subsequently developing its own commercial steam cleaner with an Italian manufacturing partner. Today its lineup includes residential and professional steam cleaners, steam extractors, spot cleaners, floor washers, clothes steamers, and HEPA air purifiers. Dupray is particularly known for its Neat consumer steam cleaner and its heavier-duty Italian-made Tosca, Hill Injection, and Carmen Super Inox systems, which use high-temperature, low-moisture steam for applications ranging from household cleaning to automotive detailing and commercial sanitation. Unit heats or powers normally but little or no steam reaches the hose or accessory. Common causes include restricted steam passages, hose/valve problems, improper pressure buildup, or mineral scale inside the boiler system.
Steam output becomes noticeably weak or pressure falls during continuous operation. Scale accumulation, prolonged operation at maximum pressure, restricted plumbing, or deteriorating boiler performance can contribute to this condition.
Water or steam leaks around hose, accessory, boiler-cap, or attachment connections. Dupray specifically identifies worn O-rings as a recurring cause, with failed seals sometimes allowing hot water or pressurized steam to escape.
The handle trigger stops releasing steam correctly or the steam valve becomes stuck open and continues discharging after the trigger is released. Owner reports document failed triggers and stuck-open steam-control mechanisms, particularly on consumer steam-cleaner models.
The machine powers on but the boiler fails to reach operating temperature or the SteamReady indicator never reaches its normal state. Possible hardware faults include the heating element, thermal protection components, switching circuitry, wiring, or boiler controls.
Mineral deposits accumulate inside the boiler, valves, or steam passages and progressively restrict operation. Dupray troubleshooting documentation associates scale with dirty discharge, reduced steam pressure, and other steam-delivery problems.
The internal water pump runs continuously, hums, vibrates excessively, or fails to move water into the boiler. Dupray documentation identifies pump priming/air-lock issues, while owner reports also describe machines developing severe pump noise and vibration followed by loss of steam.
Accessories spit droplets or unusually wet steam instead of producing a consistent dry vapor. Condensation, excessive boiler water, incomplete heating, deteriorated seals, or boiler contamination can cause persistent water discharge through the hose.
Steam hoses, handle passages, connectors, or internal steam ducts can crack, leak, detach, or become obstructed. Reported failures include leaking handle assemblies and cracked internal steam passages that divert pressurized steam inside the handle instead of through the nozzle.
