Dreame Technology (Dreametech) is a Chinese consumer-electronics and smart-appliance manufacturer founded in 2017 and centered on intelligent home automation. It is best known for robot vacuum/mop systems, cordless stick vacuums, wet/dry floor cleaners and high-speed digital-motor technology, while its portfolio has expanded into robotic lawn mowers, hair-care appliances and a broader connected-home ecosystem. Dreame emphasizes vertically developed technologies such as high-speed motors, robotic navigation, AI/object recognition and automated cleaning docks, and its products are now distributed internationally. The company has been particularly successful in premium robotic floor cleaning and is expanding from its original cleaning-appliance specialization into a wider smart-home appliance ecosystem.
Internal water pumps, tubing, valves, or outlets stop supplying sufficient water to the mop pads or roller, resulting in dry or intermittently wet mopping. Pump airlocks, clogged passages, and failed pump assemblies are frequently implicated.
The laser distance sensor may stop rotating, become obstructed, or develop an internal motor/sensor fault, causing navigation errors, incorrect mapping, spinning, collisions, or failure to locate the dock. Dreame specifically documents recurring LDS abnormal and LiDAR sensor-error conditions.
The robot docks but fails to charge, charges intermittently, or repeatedly attempts to reposition itself on the charging station. Common hardware causes include dirty or misaligned charging contacts, dock contact assemblies, battery faults, or charging circuitry problems.
The main roller becomes jammed, stops rotating, produces abnormal noise, or triggers brush-related errors. Hair and debris around the bearings are common causes, while worn bearings, damaged rollers, and failed brush-drive motors can produce persistent failures.
The vacuum develops substantially reduced airflow or stops collecting debris despite the robot continuing to operate. Clogged air paths and filters are common, while blower/fan motor or associated electrical failures can cause complete loss of suction.
Dirty water may remain in the washboard because the dock can no longer pump it into the wastewater tank, sometimes accompanied by abnormal water-level warnings. Blocked tubing, contaminated sensors, failed pumps, seals, or plumbing connections are typical fault points.
One or both powered wheels may slip, bind, leak lubricant, stop driving correctly, or produce abnormal movement. Dreame's repair documentation specifically identifies drive-wheel abnormalities, wheel slippage, oil leakage, and damaged universal wheels as service scenarios.
The side brush may stop rotating, repeatedly detach, or fail to extend, retract, raise, or lower on models equipped with movable brush mechanisms. Debris entanglement is common, but failures can also involve the brush motor, gearbox, actuator, or extension mechanism.
Dreame units may experience rapid battery depletion, failure to accept or retain a charge, unexpected shutdowns, or complete failure to power on. Aging lithium-ion cells, battery-management faults, charging-system problems, and internal power electronics can produce these symptoms.
