Draco Broadcast repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Draco Broadcast is a privately held professional video and broadcast-equipment OEM founded in 2010 in Silicon Valley. It is best known for Dracast, its professional LED video-lighting brand, but its portfolio has expanded to include Magicue teleprompters, Cinebrite studio lighting, DCB protective equipment cases, and historically Avinair video accessories such as monitors, projectors, signal converters, splitters, and switchers. Its core products include LED panels, Fresnel and studio lights, RGB lighting, ring and on-camera lights, teleprompter systems, batteries/power equipment, and production accessories. The company targets television studios, film/video production, news crews, photographers, content creators, and other professional AV users, with Dracast particularly known for relatively affordable high-output, color-accurate LED production lighting. dracobroadcast.com

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Power / Dead Unit

Dracast lights, Cinebrite fixtures, Magicue monitors, and Avinair electronics may fail to power on due to defective AC adapters, DC input circuitry, internal power supplies, blown protection components, or failed voltage regulators. Draco Broadcast maintains an extensive catalog of replacement power supplies across multiple lighting families.

LED Array Partial or Complete Failure

Dracast and Cinebrite fixtures can develop dead LED groups, dark sections, flickering emitters, or complete loss of illumination. Typical causes include failed LED packages, damaged LED boards, open interconnects, or faults in the constant-current driver circuitry.

LED Flickering / Unstable Brightness

LED panels may flicker, pulse, or vary in output even when brightness settings remain unchanged. Aging power supplies, deteriorating driver components, loose internal connections, or unstable power rails are common hardware causes.

Brightness / Color Temperature Control Failure

Bi-color and RGB/RGBWW lighting models may lose dimming control, produce incorrect color temperature, or have one color channel remain weak or inactive. Failures commonly involve control potentiometers/encoders, LED driver channels, control boards, or LED-array circuitry.

Battery / Battery-Mount Power Failure

Dracast portable lights may stop operating from V-Mount, Gold Mount, or NP-F batteries while continuing to function from AC power. Worn battery contacts, damaged mounting plates, broken wiring, protection circuitry, or DC power-path components are typical causes.

Cooling Fan Failure / Overheating

Higher-output Dracast and Cinebrite fixtures can develop noisy, seized, or non-operating cooling fans, potentially causing excessive temperatures or thermal shutdown. Fan wear, contamination, failed fan-control circuitry, and obstructed airflow are common causes.

Teleprompter Monitor No Display / Backlight Failure

Magicue teleprompter monitors may power on but display a black screen, dim image, intermittent picture, or no backlight. Likely hardware faults include failed LED backlight circuitry, power boards, display-controller boards, internal cabling, or the LCD panel itself.

HDMI / Video Signal Failure

Magicue monitors and Avinair splitters, switchers, converters, and projectors may power normally but fail to detect or output a video signal. Damaged HDMI connectors, ESD-damaged interface ICs, failed receiver/transmitter circuitry, or deteriorated solder connections are typical causes.

Intermittent Video / Signal Dropouts

Avinair signal-distribution hardware and Magicue display equipment can exhibit flickering video, intermittent synchronization, or repeated signal loss. Common hardware causes include worn HDMI connectors, unstable power rails, damaged high-speed interface circuitry, or failing signal-processing components.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
