DJI is a Chinese technology manufacturer best known as a global leader in civilian and commercial drones. The company designs and manufactures consumer camera drones, professional and enterprise UAVs, agricultural drones, camera and gimbal stabilization systems, action cameras, wireless microphones, flight-control systems, propulsion technology, and related software. Its products serve recreational aerial photography and filmmaking as well as commercial applications including agriculture, construction, infrastructure inspection, energy, surveying, and public safety. DJI is particularly known for integrating flight-control, imaging, stabilization, and transmission technologies into easy-to-use drone platforms.
The camera gimbal becomes stuck, shakes, tilts incorrectly, or displays a "Gimbal Motor Overloaded" or self-check error. Common hardware causes include damaged axis arms, motors, ribbon cables, vibration dampers, or debris/impact damage to the gimbal assembly.
The battery fails to charge, reports a communication or cell error, discharges abnormally, or can no longer reliably power the aircraft. Aging cells, physical damage, overheating, swelling, and battery-management hardware faults are common failure modes.
One or more motors fail to start, rotate irregularly, become blocked, or generate propulsion/ESC warnings. Typical hardware causes include damaged motor windings or bearings, debris ingress, crash damage, and electrical faults in the propulsion system.
The electronic speed controller fails to drive one or more motors correctly, potentially producing ESC, propulsion, or "motor blocked" errors. Damage can result from electrical component failure, excessive motor load, impact damage, or a shorted power stage.
The aircraft persistently reports weak, unavailable, or disconnected GPS despite operating in conditions where satellite reception should normally be adequate. A defective GPS module, antenna, connector, or associated circuitry can cause unstable positioning and prevent normal GPS-assisted flight.
The camera produces no image, abnormal colors, stripes, excessive noise, persistent blur, or a camera-sensor error. Failures can originate in the image sensor, camera electronics, lens assembly, connectors, or damage sustained by the camera/gimbal module.
The aircraft reports IMU errors or exhibits abnormal attitude, unstable hovering, or incorrect orientation that persists after calibration. Hardware faults can involve the accelerometer/gyroscope assembly, its connections, or the main flight-control electronics.
The aircraft reports vision-sensor errors or loses reliable obstacle sensing, positioning, or landing-assistance functions. Impact damage, misaligned or defective optical sensors, damaged connections, or failed sensing modules are common hardware causes.
The aircraft and controller fail to link reliably, experience abnormal signal loss, or lose control/video transmission despite normal setup and firmware. Potential hardware causes include damaged antennas, RF/transmission modules, controller ports, cables, or internal communication circuitry.
