Digital Storm repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Digital Storm is a U.S. boutique computer OEM and system integrator founded in 2002, specializing in hand-built, high-performance computer systems. Its product portfolio centers on premium gaming desktops, custom PCs, professional workstations, multi-GPU systems, and increasingly AI/HPC-oriented workstations and GPU servers for gamers, content creators, researchers, businesses, and government customers. Unlike a conventional mass-market PC brand that outsources most final production, Digital Storm emphasizes in-house system assembly, thermal engineering, component integration, stress testing, quality assurance, and custom cooling solutions. The company is particularly known for enthusiast-class machines such as its Aventum family and for highly configurable systems built around high-end Intel/AMD processors and NVIDIA GPUs.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Liquid Cooling Pump Failure

AIO and custom-loop pumps can stop circulating coolant, causing rapidly rising CPU or GPU temperatures, thermal throttling, shutdowns, or failure to remain powered on. Pump failures have been repeatedly documented on Digital Storm liquid-cooled systems.

GPU Failure / Black Screen

Graphics cards can develop instability resulting in black screens, artifacting, crashes under gaming loads, driver resets, or complete loss of video output. Problems may originate from the GPU itself, VRAM, overheating, PCIe connectivity, or power delivery.

RAM Failure / Memory Instability

Failed or unstable DIMMs commonly produce random freezing, BSODs, failed POST attempts, application crashes, and MemTest errors. Digital Storm troubleshooting documentation specifically recommends isolating individual memory modules when diagnosing startup and stability faults.

Power Supply Failure

A failing PSU can cause a completely dead system, intermittent startup, sudden shutdowns, rebooting under load, or apparently random instability. Digital Storm has specific PSU isolation procedures for distinguishing a failed power supply from motherboard failure.

CPU / GPU Overheating

Dust accumulation, degraded thermal interfaces, failed fans, restricted airflow, or cooling-system faults can push CPU or GPU temperatures high enough to cause throttling, crashes, artifacting, and automatic shutdowns. High-performance Digital Storm configurations are particularly dependent on their cooling system functioning correctly.

SSD / Boot Drive Failure

Storage faults can produce boot-device errors, Windows startup failures, corrupted data, repeated recovery loops, or a drive that disappears from BIOS. Loose SATA/power connections can mimic drive failure and are specifically included in Digital Storm's boot troubleshooting guidance.

Motherboard Failure

Motherboard faults can present as no POST, repeated power cycling, diagnostic/error codes, dead memory slots, missing PCIe devices, or a system that receives power but cannot boot. Digital Storm's troubleshooting procedures distinguish motherboard failure from PSU, RAM, GPU, and peripheral faults through component isolation.

Cooling Fan / Fan Controller Failure

Case, radiator, or controller failures can cause one or several fans to stop spinning, reducing airflow and eventually producing elevated component temperatures. Digital Storm forum cases document failed fan controllers as well as individual cooling-fan problems.

Loose / Dislodged Internal Components

RAM, graphics cards, PCIe devices, storage cables, and motherboard power connectors can partially disconnect during shipping or movement, resulting in no display, failure to POST, missing drives, or intermittent crashes. Digital Storm explicitly identifies shipping vibration and shock as reasons otherwise tested systems may arrive with startup or stability problems.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
