Digital forecast repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Digital Forecast is a South Korean professional broadcast-video equipment manufacturer founded in 2005, specializing in hardware for processing, converting, distributing, routing, monitoring, testing, and transporting professional video and audio signals. Its principal product families include Bridge signal converters and test equipment, HD/SD/UHD SDI processing hardware, routing switchers, distribution amplifiers, synchronization equipment, audio converters, fiber-optic transmission products, encoders, multiplexers/demultiplexers, and related broadcast infrastructure. Its equipment supports technologies including SDI, 3G-SDI, 12G-SDI, HDMI and UHD/4K workflows and is targeted at television broadcasters, production/post-production facilities, Pro A/V installations, telecommunications, education, medical facilities, government and military applications. The company initially provided OEM/ODM equipment before establishing its own Bridge, HD Live and Kalypso brands, and its products are now distributed internationally

2 Most Seen Failures:

HDMI Input/Output Signal Failure

HDMI ports may stop detecting a source, produce no output, or show intermittent video due to connector wear, damaged interface circuitry, or HDMI handshake problems. High-resolution signals can also exhibit noise, image breakup, or loss of synchronization.

SDI Input/Output Signal Failure

Bridge converters and routing hardware can develop missing, unstable, or intermittent SDI signals caused by damaged BNC connectors, failed SDI receiver/transmitter circuitry, or signal-integrity degradation. Symptoms commonly include loss of lock, CRC errors, or complete loss of video.

Power Supply / No-Power Failure

Units may fail to start, reboot unexpectedly, or operate intermittently because of a failing external DC adapter, damaged DC input connector, voltage-regulation circuitry, or internal power components. Many Bridge products rely on external 12 VDC power, making the power-input path a significant hardware failure point.

LCD / Touchscreen Failure

X_TS troubleshooters and other display-equipped models can develop cracked, blank, dim, distorted, or unresponsive LCD/touchscreen assemblies. Failure may originate in the LCD panel, touch digitizer, display interconnect, backlight circuitry, or display driver electronics.

Analog Audio Loss

Analog audio output can disappear even while the associated HDMI or SDI video remains operational. Digital Forecast specifically documents temporary audio loss associated with electrostatic discharge, while persistent cases can involve audio codec, mux/de-mux, connector, or analog output-stage faults.

Video Noise / Image Corruption

Users may encounter sparkles, noise, unstable pictures, or corrupted video, particularly at higher HDMI resolutions. Digital Forecast specifically warns that HDMI data loss can become apparent above 1080i, although damaged ports, receiver circuitry, or marginal signal paths can produce similar symptoms.

Scaler / Format-Conversion Failure

Multi-format models such as the X_MC can detect an input but fail to produce the selected resolution, frame rate, or converted output correctly. Faults in the scaler/video-processing path can present as unsupported output, blank video, unstable synchronization, or conversion working only in certain formats.

Firmware / Control-System Malfunction

Bridge converters and troubleshooting units can become unresponsive, retain incorrect settings, fail to switch inputs properly, or behave abnormally after configuration or firmware problems. Persistent cases may require firmware recovery or repair of the embedded control/flash-memory circuitry.

Connector / Port Damage

Repeated field use can produce mechanically loose or damaged HDMI, BNC, DC-power, USB, audio, or other I/O connectors. Typical symptoms are intermittent signal or power when a cable is moved, complete loss of one interface, or a connector physically separating from its PCB.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
