The company designs and manufactures professional PCI/PCIe sound cards, IP audio codecs, gateways, audio interfaces, and network-audio transport solutions used primarily in broadcast and other mission-critical communications environments. Its technology is deployed by radio and television broadcasters as well as customers in transportation, aviation, defense, security, emergency communications, public-address and industrial applications where reliable audio transmission is essential. Digigram is particularly known for professional sound cards and its expertise in Audio-over-IP, including AES67, RAVENNA and SMPTE ST 2110 technologies. VX, PCX, and ALP-family cards may fail to appear in Windows when the installed driver does not support the card's hardware revision. Digigram specifically notes that component changes can require newer driver releases.
Older VX, PCX, and LCM cards can experience intermittent audio dropouts, clicks, or artifacts, particularly on systems with high DPC latency. Other PCI/PCIe devices and drivers can contribute to the problem.
Some HP desktops, workstations, and ProLiant servers can fail to boot when a Digigram VX, PCX, or LX-MADI PCIe card is installed. Digigram attributes this to motherboard incompatibility with the PCIe bridge used by the cards.
VX sound cards can trigger Windows BSODs on some HP computers because of conflicts involving DMA management and DMA protection. The failure is host-platform dependent rather than necessarily a physically defective audio card.
Digigram hardware can become unusable when Windows rejects its driver with a Code 52 digital-signature error. This is particularly documented for Windows 7 and Windows 8 installations of HR Runtime.
Later production revisions of VX222e, PCX924e, and related PCIe cards contain component changes while retaining the same product name. Older HR Runtime versions may consequently fail to recognize or correctly operate newer cards.
AES/EBU audio may be unavailable or fail to operate correctly when the card is configured to the wrong synchronization source. Digigram hardware requires appropriate clock and synchronization settings for digital-input operation.
IQOYA X/LINK units can effectively become unreachable when their Ethernet IP addresses are unknown or incorrectly configured. Digigram documents a recovery procedure for retrieving the interface addresses without performing a factory reset.
IQOYA X/LINK hardware can fail to use removable storage when an unsupported SD card type is installed. The range supports SDHC cards up to 32 GB, while SDXC cards of 64 GB or greater are not supported.
