Digi repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Digi International is a U.S.-based industrial connectivity and Internet of Things OEM specializing in hardware, software, and managed services used to securely connect and remotely manage equipment. Its hardware portfolio includes Digi XBee RF and cellular modules, ConnectCore system-on-modules and single-board computers, industrial and enterprise cellular routers, gateways, console servers, serial/USB connectivity equipment, cellular modems, and embedded connectivity products. These products are used in industrial automation, transportation, energy, smart-city infrastructure, healthcare, retail, and other business- or mission-critical applications. Digi increasingly combines this hardware with cloud device management, security, edge-computing, and managed-network services rather than operating purely as a hardware manufacturer. Digi

2 Most Seen Failures:

Power Supply / Power Input Failure

Digi routers, gateways, and USB hubs may fail to power on, reboot unexpectedly, or become unstable due to failed external adapters, degraded internal power circuitry, or incorrect power supplies. Older AnywhereUSB models are particularly sensitive to using the correct supply polarity and voltage.

Boot Loop / Firmware Startup Failure

Digi TransPort and other embedded gateway models can become trapped in continuous reboot cycles where LEDs initialize but the device never completes startup. Firmware corruption, flash-memory problems, interrupted updates, or underlying hardware faults can produce this behavior.

Ethernet Port / Network Interface Failure

Digi gateways and serial servers may lose Ethernet connectivity, stop responding to pings, or appear completely inaccessible through a LAN port. Configuration should be ruled out first, but failed Ethernet PHY circuitry, connectors, magnetics, or board-level network components can cause similar symptoms.

Cellular Modem Connectivity Failure

Digi cellular routers may repeatedly lose their cellular session, reconnect continuously, or fail to maintain reliable data service. Antenna problems, RF-path faults, modem-module issues, poor signal conditions, carrier behavior, or power instability can produce intermittent cellular connectivity.

Serial Port Communication Failure

ConnectPort, PortServer, and Connect EZ hardware may have individual serial ports that stop transmitting or receiving even though the main device remains operational. Common repair targets include RS-232/RS-422/RS-485 transceivers, protection components, connectors, and associated interface circuitry.

AnywhereUSB Disconnection / Lockup

AnywhereUSB hubs can disappear from the network, disconnect attached USB devices, become inaccessible, or require a power cycle to recover. Network interruptions and host drivers can cause similar symptoms, while persistent failures with only power connected can indicate defective hub hardware.

USB Port / Device Detection Failure

Digi USB connectivity products may fail to recognize attached peripherals or repeatedly report unexpected unplug events. Port power circuitry, USB connectors, controller hardware, insufficient power delivery, host power-management behavior, and attached-device faults should all be investigated.

XBee RF / Antenna Path Failure

XBee and XBee-PRO modules can become unable to transmit or receive because of damaged RF output circuitry or antenna-path problems. Improper antenna loading, operation with an unsuitable or disconnected antenna, ESD, overvoltage, or damaged antenna connectors can permanently damage the radio stage.

Flash Memory / Firmware Recovery Failure

XBee modules and Digi embedded networking products can become unresponsive after corrupted configuration data, failed firmware programming, or flash-related faults. Recovery or reflashing can restore software-corrupted units, while devices that remain inaccessible after proper recovery procedures may have failed flash memory or other board-level hardware.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
