Diamond repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

2 Most Seen Failures:

[Stealth 3D 2000 / 2000 Pro – No Video, Boot Hangs, or System Beeps]

[The Stealth 3D 2000 family can produce no display, hang during startup, or trigger POST beeps when the card is poorly seated, conflicts with another display adapter or PCI resource, or encounters video-BIOS address conflicts. Diamond's troubleshooting documentation specifically addresses these symptoms.]

[Stealth 3D 2000 / 2000 Pro – Flickering or Scrambled Display]

[These cards are frequently associated with flickering, scrambled video, or an incorrectly sized image when the selected refresh rate is incompatible with the monitor. Diamond's documentation identifies refresh-frequency configuration as a primary cause.]

[Monster 3D II – No 3D Output / Pass-Through Failure]

[The Monster 3D II depends on a separate 2D graphics card and an external VGA pass-through cable; a loose or incorrectly connected cable or improperly seated PCI card can prevent correct display switching or 3D operation. Diamond specifically instructs users to check the PCI seating and pass-through connection when the board fails to operate.]

[Monster 3D II + Stealth64 Video 3000 – Display Corruption / Memory-Bug Problems]

[Diamond documented a memory bug in the S3 968/868 controller used by cards including the Stealth64 Video 3000 series that could cause problems when paired with a Monster 3D II. Diamond distributed the S3FIX utility specifically as a workaround.]

[Viper – DOS/VESA Display Failures]

[Early Viper models are well documented for limited and buggy VESA BIOS support from their secondary DOS graphics hardware. The result can be incorrect video modes, display problems, or games that fail to operate properly despite Windows GUI acceleration working.]

[Edge 3D – 3D Game Compatibility and Rendering Failures]

[The NV1-based Edge 3D uses a graphics architecture that predates Microsoft's Direct3D model, creating substantial compatibility problems with later 3D software. Direct3D drivers eventually appeared, but contemporary accounts describe them as slow and buggy.]

[Monster Sound MX300 – Audio Dropouts, Crackling, or System Lockups]

[MX300/Vortex2 systems are repeatedly documented with audio cutting out, crackling, driver-installation problems, and—in some hardware configurations—system hangs or crashes when sound begins. Compatibility was particularly dependent on motherboard, PCI, game, and driver combinations.]

[SupraExpress 56K Modems – Connection Drops / Loss of Data Transfer]

[Diamond SupraExpress models have recurring owner reports of initially connecting normally and then ceasing to receive data or disconnecting after several minutes. Other reported failures include inability to detect a dial tone and the modem leaving the telephone line off-hook.]

[Rio PMP300 – Broken Battery Door and Cracked SmartMedia Housing]

[The PMP300's battery-door tabs are notoriously prone to breaking because the spring-loaded battery compartment places stress on relatively fragile plastic. The metal hinge can also stress the casing and produce cracks around the SmartMedia-card slot.]

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (September 25, 2026).
