Water Pump / Water-Flow Failure
The pump runs but produces little or no water, or stops pumping entirely. Common hardware causes include pump wear, airlocks, blocked valves, scale-restricted waterways, and failed flow components.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
De’Longhi S.p.A. is an Italian manufacturer of consumer and professional appliances, particularly known for espresso and coffee machines. The Group designs, develops, manufactures, and markets products spanning fully automatic, traditional, capsule, and professional coffee machines as well as food-preparation/kitchen appliances and home-comfort products. Coffee is its dominant business: household coffee represented 55.8% of 2025 consolidated revenue, with professional coffee contributing another 12.8%. Its manufacturing network includes plants in Italy, Romania, China and Switzerland, supplemented by third-party OEM production. De’Longhi is especially associated with its fully automatic espresso machines, including the Magnifica line, and has a longstanding relationship with Nespresso for capsule coffee systems.
The pump runs but produces little or no water, or stops pumping entirely. Common hardware causes include pump wear, airlocks, blocked valves, scale-restricted waterways, and failed flow components.
The appliance powers on but fails to reach the required temperature, produces cold or lukewarm output, or cannot generate steam. Typical faults involve the thermoblock or heating element, thermal fuse, thermostat, or temperature sensor.
Water leaks from underneath the appliance, water tank, brew group, portafilter, steam circuit, or internal tubing. Worn O-rings and gaskets, deteriorated hoses, leaking valves, and thermoblock or boiler connections are common hardware causes.
The grinder becomes unusually noisy, stops turning, or runs without properly grinding beans. Foreign objects, compacted or oily beans, worn burrs/gears, or grinder motor and drive failures can cause the fault.
The removable brewing unit becomes stuck, cannot return to its home position, or fails to complete the brewing cycle. Wear, contamination, damaged seals, or failure of the drive mechanism can prevent correct movement.
Steam output becomes weak, intermittent, excessively wet, or stops completely. Blocked passages, deteriorated O-rings, scale accumulation, and defective steam valves are frequent causes.
Coffee emerges extremely slowly, only drips, or fails to reach the dispensing spouts despite the machine operating. Scale, clogged shower screens or outlets, obstructed valves, and restrictions within the brew circuit are common causes.
The appliance unexpectedly shuts down, will not heat, or remains in a protection state after excessive temperature is detected. Thermal cutouts, temperature probes, airflow restrictions, or overheating heating-system components can trigger this failure.
The appliance fails to power on, intermittently loses power, or its controls/display stop functioning. Common hardware sources include failed fuses or thermal protection devices, power switches, wiring, sensors, power-supply components, or control electronics.
