Delkin Devices repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Delkin Devices is a privately held U.S. electronics manufacturer founded in 1986 specializing in NAND flash-based storage for embedded and industrial OEM applications. The company designs and manufactures rugged, controlled storage products including industrial SD and microSD cards, CompactFlash and CFast cards, CFexpress, SSDs, eMMC, embedded USB and other flash modules. Its products are designed for applications where reliability, data integrity, extended temperature operation and long product lifecycles are important, including aerospace and defense, medical equipment, transportation, telecommunications, industrial automation and embedded computing. Delkin differentiates itself through U.S.-based assembly and testing, controlled bills of materials (BOM), lifecycle/EOL management, customization and traceability. It also has a consumer business known for high-performance memory cards and accessories for professional photography and video, as well as private-label memory-card manufacturing for other OEMs. Delkin Industrial

2 Most Seen Failures:

[Data Corruption / Unreadable Files]

Memory cards can develop corrupted, incomplete, or unreadable data, particularly following interrupted writes, unexpected power loss, host power-management problems, or unsafe removal. Delkin has documented SD-card corruption associated with power loss during write operations, while field reports describe cards becoming unreadable or failing to initialize.

[Card Not Recognized / Cannot Initialize]

SD, CFast, and CFexpress media may fail to mount, initialize, or be recognized by a camera, computer, or reader. Reported symptoms include "Check the data," "Cannot initialize media," unsupported-file-system messages, and cards disappearing from the host.

[Write-Protected / Read-Only Failure]

Flash media can unexpectedly enter write-protected or read-only mode, preventing new files from being saved or existing files from being changed. Delkin identifies flash wear, excessive write cycles, file-system corruption, power loss, voltage irregularities, and controller safeguards as potential causes.

[Write-Endurance Exhaustion]

Heavy write/erase workloads can exhaust NAND endurance until a card becomes unusable for normal writing or falls back to read-only operation. Delkin has documented qualification testing in which excessive program/erase cycles rendered SD cards effectively read-only.

[CFexpress Card Sticking in Camera]

Some CFexpress Type B cards can become mechanically difficult to eject from push-push camera slots, occasionally remaining partially stuck after the eject mechanism activates. Delkin issued a January 2026 notice acknowledging reports of this problem while noting that its investigation indicated an industry-wide card/connector interaction rather than a failure unique to Delkin.

[Performance Degradation / Slow Write Speeds]

Flash storage can exhibit substantially reduced write or transfer performance as a result of configuration, accumulated controller overhead, wear, firmware behavior, or host interaction. Delkin provides sanitization and reader-configuration tools intended to restore or maximize performance, while field reports describe older CFexpress cards showing unusually slow formatting and buffer clearing.

[Overheating / Thermal Performance Loss]

High temperatures can cause storage devices to slow substantially or cease normal operation. Delkin specifically acknowledged excessive heat and reduced speed in a small batch of early JUGGLER USB 3.2 SSDs and has documented temperature-related operating limits for industrial flash.

[Reader Transfer Corruption]

A card reader or its firmware can corrupt files while transferring data even when the underlying memory card is otherwise functional. Delkin released a firmware update for the DDREADER-50 specifically to correct file corruption during transfers on certain older Mac/USB 2.0 configurations.

[Camera / Host Compatibility Failure]

A Delkin card may function normally in one host but generate recording errors, fit problems, media failures, or unsupported-media behavior in another because of firmware, interface, workload, or physical compatibility differences. Delkin's support archive documents model-specific issues involving Canon, Nikon, Sony, Panasonic/Olympus and other camera systems.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
