Tablet Battery Swelling
The Android control tablet battery can swell or develop a “bubble,” potentially deforming the tablet enclosure and requiring battery or tablet replacement. Decent documents a battery-free modification as a long-term remedy.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Decent Espresso International Limited is a Hong Kong-based designer and manufacturer of technologically advanced espresso machines, best known for its DE1 series. Unlike many appliance brands that outsource final production, Decent has developed its own manufacturing, assembly, R&D and testing operations in Hong Kong, while sourcing specialized components internationally and from manufacturing partners. Its machines emphasize precise electronic control and measurement of espresso variables, customizable brewing profiles, software connectivity and continual product refinement. Decent is particularly known among specialty-coffee enthusiasts and professionals for applying software, sensors and data-driven control to espresso extraction, effectively combining a precision coffee appliance with a software-controlled brewing platform.

Water or steam can leak around the steam-wand ball-joint nut or its seals. Wear, looseness, or degraded O-rings can cause leakage and may require seal service or steam-wand replacement.
The water-level sensor can report an incorrect or stuck tank level even when the actual amount of water changes. A failed sensor board, tube, or associated connection may require replacement of the water-level sensor assembly.
The DE1 pumps can fail to establish water flow, including conditions where air in the uptake system prevents the pumps from priming. Persistent pressure or flow problems can ultimately require pump replacement.
Early DE1 manifolds, particularly v1.0 and v1.1 machines exposed to repeated heat cycling, could develop cracks and small water leaks. Manifold valves or the manifold electronics can also fail, requiring repair or replacement of the assembly.
A worn or “tired” group-head gasket can stop sealing correctly during extraction. Typical effects include leakage together with sudden pressure drops and abnormal flow-rate spikes.
The DE1 pressure sensor can fail, particularly when water reaches it because of leakage around its sealing O-ring. Less commonly, the sensor itself can fail independently and require replacement.
Vibration can cause an internal water tube to rub against nearby hardware, eventually wearing through its protective layers and producing a leak. Later DE1 revisions added additional tube positioning and protection to reduce this failure mode.
Mineral scale from unsuitable water can accumulate in the machine and eventually cause heater failure. Decent identifies calcification as a major espresso-machine failure mechanism and warns that severe scale-related heater failures can require factory repair.
