[No Power / Unit Will Not Start]
The hardware shows no lights or response when switched on. Common fault points include the external/internal power supply, fuse, DC input connector, power cabling, or associated power circuitry.
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
Datavideo Technologies Co., Ltd. is a Taiwan-based manufacturer of professional video-production and broadcast equipment, founded in 1985. The company develops integrated hardware and workflow solutions for live video production, broadcasting, streaming, education, houses of worship, live events, esports, studios, and other professional A/V applications. Its product portfolio includes PTZ and production cameras, video switchers, streaming encoders, recorders, converters, monitors, intercom systems, camera-control equipment, virtual-studio products, and related signal-processing hardware. Datavideo is particularly known for offering relatively affordable end-to-end live-production systems under a single brand, allowing customers to assemble complete multi-camera production and streaming workflows from its equipment. Its Taiwan manufacturing operation is ISO 9001 certified, covering its design, procurement, and manufacturing processes.
The hardware shows no lights or response when switched on. Common fault points include the external/internal power supply, fuse, DC input connector, power cabling, or associated power circuitry.
The unit powers up but produces no usable video output. This can result from failed or unstable I/O circuitry, incompatible input/output formats, incorrect routing, or a defective SDI/HDMI/video connection.
Video periodically drops out, becomes unstable, or disappears completely. Frequently implicated areas include input/output connectors, signal-processing circuitry, cabling, synchronization, and marginal power connections.
A cooling fan stops, becomes noisy, or does not provide adequate airflow, sometimes triggering a fan or system alarm. Prolonged fan failure or obstructed ventilation can cause excessive internal temperatures and unstable operation.
The unit powers incorrectly, operates intermittently, or loses one or more required supply voltages. Power-distribution hardware can exhibit missing AC/DC rails, failed supply sections, fuse faults, or related power-board failures.
Front-panel buttons or switcher controls become unresponsive, remain locked, or stop controlling the unit correctly. Datavideo specifically documents button-locking behavior on some legacy SE-500/HS-500 hardware.
One or more video inputs show no source despite a connected device. Typical causes include damaged connectors or input circuitry as well as unsupported resolution, frame-rate, or video-standard combinations.
The hardware fails to initialize normally, becomes non-responsive, or develops operational problems associated with firmware. Interrupted firmware updates can leave some Datavideo devices non-responsive, while other models have documented firmware/platform compatibility errors.
Analog or S-Video input/output produces no picture, a distorted picture, or an incorrect monochrome image. Documented Datavideo TBC and legacy switcher cases include missing S-Video signals, garbled output, and black-and-white S-Video output.
