CyberData repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

CyberData Corporation is a U.S. communications-equipment manufacturer specializing in SIP/VoIP paging, intercom, mass-notification, emergency-communication, and IP endpoint hardware. Its product portfolio includes SIP paging servers and adapters, PoE/IP speakers and horns, indoor and outdoor intercoms, call/panic buttons, visual notification strobes, paging amplifiers, access-control endpoints, and related VoIP networking equipment. CyberData also has a longstanding point-of-sale hardware business involving PoweredUSB connectivity and POS interfacing products. Its equipment is designed to integrate with IP PBX, unified-communications, and notification platforms such as Cisco, Singlewire/InformaCast, Zoom, and RingCentral, while its hybrid products allow customers to connect modern IP systems to existing 25V/70V analog paging infrastructure. The company is particularly known for commercial and institutional paging and emergency-notification equipment used in schools, healthcare facilities, warehouses, manufacturing sites, commercial buildings, and other large facilities.

2 Most Seen Failures:

SIP Registration Failure

Device fails to register with the SIP/IP-PBX server, repeatedly drops registration, or appears Busy/Unreachable. Incorrect credentials, registration intervals, DNS settings, keep-alive configuration, or PBX compatibility are frequent causes.

No Paging Audio

Speaker, horn, or paging amplifier establishes a call but produces no audible page. SIP configuration, multicast settings, codec negotiation, DTMF-menu handling, or audio-path configuration commonly causes the failure.

Intermittent Network Connectivity

Device periodically becomes unreachable or disappears from the network after operating normally. Registration timing, switch-port configuration, DNS/network settings, PoE behavior, or firmware issues can cause intermittent connectivity.

PoE / Power Failure

Device fails to power, unexpectedly reboots, or becomes unstable when powered through Ethernet. Insufficient PoE capacity, switch power-policing, overloaded amplifier outputs, cabling problems, or power-supply faults are common contributors.

Unexpected Reboot or Lockup

Intercoms, speakers, microphones, and paging amplifiers can freeze, reboot, or require PoE power cycling. Static discharge, improper grounding, excessive speaker load, unstable power, or firmware faults can trigger the condition.

DTMF / Relay Activation Failure

Intercom or paging device receives calls normally but does not activate its relay or respond to keypad commands. Incorrect RFC2833/out-of-band DTMF configuration or payload settings are frequent causes.

Multicast Paging Failure

Device fails to receive multicast pages, unexpectedly leaves a multicast group, or produces inconsistent multicast audio. Network multicast configuration, firmware defects, group settings, and stream timeouts are typical causes.

Paging Server Call Hangs

Paging server answers an incoming SIP call but produces no ready tone and fails to initiate the requested page. PBX interoperability, video-support settings, SIP negotiation, or firmware compatibility can cause the call to stall.

Firmware / Configuration Failure

Device behaves incorrectly, becomes inaccessible, or loses expected functionality following a firmware update or configuration change. CyberData documentation identifies firmware-specific compatibility issues and cases where factory reset or reconfiguration is required after upgrading.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most CyberData devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (September 28, 2026).
