Cyber Acoustics repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Cyber Acoustics is an American electronics OEM/brand specializing in affordable computer audio and communications peripherals. Founded in Vancouver, Washington in 1996 as a PC-speaker company, it has expanded into computer speakers, headphones, wired and wireless headsets, microphones, webcams, speakerphones, docking stations, and related office/education peripherals. Its products are aimed particularly at K–12 education, offices and hybrid work, call/contact centers, healthcare and home computing. The company says it has sold more than 66 million products and operates in 87 countries, including more than 30 million speakers and nearly 30 million headsets/headphones. Cyber Acoustics is particularly known for value-oriented PC speaker systems and durable school/business headsets, while its newer portfolio emphasizes noise-canceling contact-center headsets, webcams and conferencing equipment.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Power / Dead Speaker System

Speaker system will not power on and the power indicator remains off despite a known-good outlet. Common hardware causes include failed power adapters, damaged power cables, internal power-supply faults, or failed power-switch/control circuitry.

No Audio Output

Speakers power on but produce no sound from either channel. Failures can originate from damaged 3.5 mm input cables, control-pod circuitry, internal amplifier electronics, connectors, or speaker wiring.

One Speaker Channel Not Working

One satellite speaker becomes silent while the other continues operating normally. Loose or damaged plugs, broken speaker cables, connector faults, or failure of one amplifier channel are common hardware causes.

Distorted / Crackling Audio

Audio becomes distorted, crackles, buzzes, or breaks up during playback, particularly as volume or bass increases. Potential hardware faults include deteriorating speaker drivers, damaged cables or connectors, control potentiometers, or amplifier-stage problems.

Subwoofer Produces No Bass

Satellite speakers continue operating while the subwoofer produces little or no output. Possible failures include the woofer driver, bass-control circuitry, internal wiring, amplifier channel, or subwoofer power electronics.

Intermittent Audio From Cables or Connectors

Sound cuts in and out or returns when the audio plug, satellite cable, or control connection is moved. Worn 3.5 mm plugs, fractured conductors, stressed cable entry points, and damaged sockets are typical causes.

Headset Microphone Not Working

Headphone audio functions but the microphone produces no usable signal. After software, privacy, mute, and connection issues are eliminated, likely hardware faults include the microphone capsule, boom wiring, inline controller, USB interface, or cable.

USB Headset Not Detected

A USB or USB-C headset intermittently disconnects or is no longer recognized by a computer despite testing multiple compatible ports. Cable damage, connector wear, or failure of the headset's internal USB audio/interface electronics can cause persistent detection failures.

Headset Audio Cuts Out / One Ear Silent

A headset develops intermittent playback or loses audio from one ear while the other channel remains functional. Repeated cable flexing can damage internal conductors, while faults may also develop at the plug, inline controls, earcup wiring, or speaker driver.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
