CVW repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

End Use Segment

CVW, formally Shenzhen Crystal Video Technology Co., Ltd., is a Chinese electronics OEM founded in 2010 specializing in professional wireless video and data transmission systems. The company designs and manufactures wireless HDMI/SDI transmitters and receivers, multi-camera transmission systems, long-range broadcast links, low- and zero-latency video systems, and related products for film and television production, live broadcasting, education, UAV applications, medical environments, emergency response, and industrial teleoperation. CVW emphasizes proprietary RF/video technology including H.264/H.265 encoding, MIMO, beamforming, long-range transmission, and ultra-low-latency links, and states that it operates its own production and testing system. Its better-known product families include Thunder, BeamLink, Pro-series, and Spectra wireless transmission systems

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Wireless Link

Transmitter and receiver fail to establish or maintain a wireless connection. Common causes include lost pairing, mismatched channels, excessive distance, interference, or internal RF/network faults.

No Video Output

Receiver shows a wireless connection but outputs no picture through HDMI or SDI. Failures can involve the video input circuitry, output interface, cable-detection circuitry, or unsupported signal resolution.

Intermittent Video Dropouts

Video repeatedly disappears and returns during operation. This is commonly associated with unstable RF reception, interference, antenna-path problems, or intermittent HDMI/SDI connections.

Mosaic or Blocky Video

The displayed image develops digital blocks, mosaic artifacts, or severe picture breakup. CVW documentation associates this primarily with degraded wireless signal quality, RF interference, or insufficient link margin.

Video Freezing or Lag

The picture freezes, stutters, or experiences unusually high latency during transmission. Typical causes include wireless congestion, weak RF signal, channel interference, or encoder/decoder instability.

Green or Flickering Display

Receiver output produces a green, flashing, or unstable image on the connected monitor. CVW specifically identifies poor or intermittent HDMI connections as a frequent cause, although HDMI interface faults can produce the same symptom.

Transmitter Not Detecting Video Source

The transmitter powers and may connect wirelessly but does not recognize the connected HDMI or SDI source. Common causes include input-port failure, cable faults, unsupported source resolution, or source-detection circuitry problems.

Pairing or Re-Pairing Failure

Transmitter and receiver cannot successfully complete code matching or lose their stored pairing. The issue can result from firmware instability, mismatched operating settings, RF faults, or corrupted pairing data.

Channel Switching Connection Failure

The wireless link fails to reconnect after changing operating frequency channels. CVW manuals repeatedly recommend rebooting affected units, indicating recurring network/RF initialization problems following channel changes.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most CVW devices.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
