CueScript repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Broadcast Teleprompting
End Use Segment

CueScript is a professional broadcast-electronics manufacturer specializing in teleprompting and prompting systems for television studios, live production, corporate video, government, education, houses of worship, and other professional production environments. Founded in 2014, the company develops professional on-camera prompter monitors, IP-enabled prompting monitors, PTZ prompting solutions, prompting interfaces such as CueB, hardware scroll controllers, mounting systems, and its CueiT prompting software ecosystem. CueScript was an early adopter of networked prompting, introducing CueiT software in 2015 and IP-based prompters in 2018. Its equipment is particularly associated with professional broadcast installations where reliability, operator control, high-brightness displays, IP connectivity, and integration with newsroom/live-production workflows are important.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Power / Intermittent Power

CueScript monitors may fail to start or intermittently shut down due to switching power-supply, DC input, connector, or internal power-regulation faults. Both AC mains and 12 VDC power systems are used across CueScript monitor hardware.

Blank Screen / No Video Output

CSM, CSMV2, CSF, and related prompter monitors can power on but produce a black or blank display because of video-input, display-controller, internal power-rail, or LCD/backlight faults.

CueB Connection Lost

CueB hardware can lose communication with CueiT, causing connected prompting functionality or licensing features to disappear. CueScript specifically directs users to reboot CueB and inspect USB/network connections, IP addressing, and firewall configuration when this occurs.

IP Monitor Not Detected

IP-enabled CSMV2 monitors may fail to appear to CueiT because of Ethernet communication, network configuration, firmware, or interface faults. Correct subnet configuration and an operational network path between the monitor and prompting system are required.

Scroll Controller Not Recognized

CSSC, CSFC, CSWH, and CSWF controllers may stop being detected over USB, CAN bus, or network-connected prompting hardware. Cable/interface faults, incompatible firmware, damaged connectors, or controller electronics can interrupt communication.

Erratic or Unresponsive Scroll Control

CueScript scroll controllers can exhibit excessive, insufficient, intermittent, or unresponsive scrolling. Sensitivity settings can cause apparent problems, while persistent symptoms can indicate encoder, potentiometer, switch, cable, or controller-board faults.

Backlight / Brightness Failure

Prompter displays may develop a dim screen, uneven illumination, flickering, or complete loss of backlighting. Likely hardware causes include LED backlight assemblies, LED drivers, power circuitry, or internal display connections.

Tally / Cue Light Failure

Integrated cue lights or connected CueNumber displays may fail to change state when a tally signal is applied. Common fault areas include the tally sensor, mini-USB input, cabling, logic-input circuitry, connectors, and the cue-light electronics.

Image Rotation / Orientation Failure

CueScript monitors with automatic orientation can fail to rotate correctly or may remain in the wrong display orientation. Persistent faults after configuration checks can originate in the internal tilt sensor, associated wiring, control electronics, or monitor firmware.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
