Coway Co., Ltd. is a South Korean manufacturer specializing in home wellness and environmental appliances. Founded in 1989, the company is particularly known for water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets, water softeners, filtration systems, mattresses, massage chairs, and other health-focused household appliances. Its core businesses are organized around water care, air care, body care, sleep care, healing care, and living care, with its BEREX brand covering products such as beds and massage chairs. Coway also operates a large recurring rental/service business alongside direct product sales and has expanded substantially outside South Korea, particularly in Malaysia, the United States, Thailand, and other Asian and international markets.
Coway Airmega models commonly develop rattling, grinding, humming, wobbling, or abnormal vibration from the blower assembly. Worn motor bearings, fan imbalance, or vibration between the fan module and enclosure can eventually reduce airflow or stop the fan.
Airmega purifiers may display incorrect pollution levels or repeatedly change fan speeds despite stable room conditions. Dust contamination, sensor degradation, or failure of the particulate-sensor circuitry can cause persistent red indicators, unstable automatic operation, or incorrect fan control.
Coway air and water purification products can become completely unresponsive, intermittently shut down, or display abnormal combinations of flashing indicators. Failed power/control PCB components, connectors, or solder joints can prevent otherwise functional motors, sensors, and controls from operating.
Coway Airmega purifiers can refuse to start when the magnetic front-panel detection system incorrectly reports that the cover is open. Misalignment or failure of the Hall-effect sensor or its mounting can make the purifier intermittently or permanently inoperative.
Coway water purifiers can develop internal or external leaks around tubing connections, tanks, fittings, valves, and filtration assemblies. Leakage may trigger shutdown behavior and generally requires inspection of the water path, seals, fittings, and associated valves.
Coway water purifiers may stop dispensing water or experience substantially reduced flow. Common hardware-related causes include clogged filtration assemblies, failed dispensing valves, restricted tubing, inlet components, or faults within the water delivery mechanism.
Coway hot-and-cold water purifiers can lose their ability to produce adequately chilled water even when the cold-water function is enabled. Compressor, refrigeration-system, cooling-control, temperature-sensor, or related electrical failures can prevent the reservoir from reaching its specified temperature.
Hot-water-equipped Coway purifiers can stop producing hot water despite normal water supply and electrical power. Failures can involve the heating element, thermal protection components, temperature sensor, relay, wiring, or control circuitry.
Coway appliances can develop buttons or touch controls that intermittently or completely stop responding while other functions continue operating. Typical faults include deteriorated switches, touch-panel circuitry, damaged connections, or failure of the user-interface PCB.
