CODi repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

CODi Worldwide is a U.S.-based B2B technology-products company founded in 1992 that develops and markets hardware designed primarily to protect, connect, power, secure, and extend laptops, tablets, smartphones, and workplace computing equipment. Its portfolio is unusually broad for an accessory OEM, covering rugged tablet and Chromebook cases, laptop bags and backpacks, docking stations and USB hubs, monitors, webcams, headsets, keyboards, mice, power adapters, chargers, power banks, cables, screen protectors, styluses, computer stands, and physical device-security locks. CODi primarily targets businesses, educational institutions, government organizations, and other fleet/device deployments rather than focusing exclusively on consumer retail. Its current catalog contains roughly 179 products, reinforcing its position as a broad B2B mobile-computing protection and connectivity supplier.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Video Output / External Display Failure

CODi USB-C docking stations and multi-port hubs may stop outputting video through HDMI or DisplayPort, leaving attached monitors blank or intermittently detected. Documented causes include dock firmware problems, DisplayLink compatibility issues, and failures along the USB-C/video signal path.

USB-C Port / Connector Failure

USB-C host and power-input ports can become intermittent or completely nonfunctional after repeated insertion, cable strain, or connector damage. Typical symptoms include a dock or hub disconnecting when the cable moves, peripherals dropping out, or the device no longer being recognized.

Power Delivery / Charging Failure

CODi docking stations, USB-C hubs, wall chargers, power adapters, and power banks may fail to deliver the expected charging voltage or power to the connected device. Likely hardware faults include damaged USB-C connectors, failed PD-controller circuitry, power-conversion components, or deteriorated cables.

Dock Not Detected / USB Enumeration Failure

CODi docks and adapters can fail to enumerate correctly, causing the entire unit or individual USB functions to disappear from the host computer. Beyond driver problems, hardware causes can include USB hub/controller IC failure, damaged host interfaces, unstable power rails, or corrupted dock firmware.

HDMI / DisplayPort Output Failure

Individual HDMI or DisplayPort outputs on CODi docking stations can stop working while other dock functions remain operational. Port damage, failed ESD protection components, signal-conditioning circuitry, connector solder fractures, or video-interface IC faults are likely board-level causes.

Ethernet Port / Network Failure

The integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface on CODi docks and hubs may stop establishing a network connection or become intermittently disconnected. Common hardware suspects include the RJ45 connector, Ethernet PHY/controller circuitry, magnetics, damaged solder joints, or power-supply faults affecting the network section.

USB Peripheral Port Failure

One or more USB-A or USB-C downstream ports may stop recognizing keyboards, storage devices, mice, and other peripherals even though the remainder of the dock continues operating. Connector wear, damaged protection components, failed USB hub circuitry, or loss of the port's power rail are typical causes.

Intermittent Dock Operation / Random Disconnects

CODi docks and multi-port adapters can repeatedly disconnect displays, USB peripherals, or networking during operation. Firmware incompatibility is documented on some CODi docks, while hardware cases can result from unstable power conversion, deteriorated USB-C connections, overheating components, or failing controller circuitry.

Charger / Power Adapter No-Output Failure

CODi wall chargers, USB-C power adapters, and related charging hardware may develop complete or intermittent loss of output. Typical electronic causes include failed switching-MOSFETs, controller ICs, capacitors, protection circuitry, damaged output connectors, or cable failures.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
