Coaches Video repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Coaches Video is a U.S. sports-video equipment manufacturer and brand associated with Webb Electronics Ltd., founded by engineer Joel Krause in Lewisville, Texas. Webb Electronics dates to 1986, while Coaches Video was established in 2014 as its marketing arm. The company specializes in hardware that allows coaches, athletic departments, and video coordinators to capture elevated, sideline, end-zone, practice, and multi-angle game footage. Its proprietary product families include Rover telescoping/end-zone camera systems, Coach Potato and Air Potato camera-control systems, Cowboy Remote controllers, monopod and dual-camera systems, along with coach-to-player communications and related sports-video equipment. Its systems are aimed particularly at football, baseball/softball and other high-school and collegiate athletic programs, with products combining cameras, elevated mounting systems, monitors and remote controls into turnkey recording solutions. Coaches Video emphasizes rugged field-oriented hardware, portability, rapid setup and multi-angle capture; the company traces its sports-video heritage to development of the original Cowboy Remote with the Dallas Cowboys in 1986.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Camera Control Failure

Wired or wireless camera-control systems can stop responding to pan, tilt, zoom, or recording commands due to failed control electronics, damaged cabling, connectors, or remote-control components. Coach Potato, Air Potato, and Cowboy Remote systems are particularly dependent on reliable control links.

Video Signal Loss

Systems may produce intermittent, distorted, or completely missing video because of damaged signal cables, worn connectors, failed adapters, or camera-output problems. Repeated field setup and teardown increases mechanical stress on video connections.

Battery and Power Failure

Rechargeable camera, monitor, and control-system batteries can lose capacity, fail to charge, or cause intermittent shutdowns. Battery contacts, chargers, DC connectors, and internal power-regulation components are additional common failure points.

Cable and Connector Damage

Repeated deployment, coiling, transportation, and outdoor use can produce broken conductors, bent pins, loose sockets, and intermittent connections. Older wired telescoping systems are particularly susceptible because signals and power must pass through multiple field connections.

Telescoping Mast Failure

Rover telescoping systems can develop sections that bind, slip, fail to lock, or become difficult to extend and retract. Wear, impact damage, contamination, damaged locking hardware, and bent mast sections are typical mechanical causes.

Pan/Tilt Head Failure

Camera heads can become loose, mechanically jammed, or stop responding correctly to directional controls. Gear, bearing, motor, mounting, or control-wiring damage can prevent accurate camera positioning during recording.

Monitor Display Failure

Field monitors can develop blank screens, intermittent images, damaged input ports, backlight problems, or power faults. Portable monitors are particularly exposed to connector wear, transportation shock, and outdoor operating conditions.

Wireless Link Failure

Air Potato and other wireless configurations can experience loss of pairing, reduced range, intermittent control, or unstable video/control communication. Antenna, transmitter/receiver, power, interference, or RF-module faults can cause these symptoms.

Camera Recording Failure

Panasonic, GoPro, and other cameras supplied with Coaches Video systems may fail to record, recognize storage media, maintain power, focus, zoom, or output video. Camera-specific battery, SD-card, lens mechanism, port, and internal electronics failures can render the overall Coaches Video system unusable.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
