CND Live repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

CND LIVE is the professional broadcast and streaming equipment brand of Shenzhen-based CND Electronic Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., an electronics manufacturer founded in 2006. The underlying company historically developed and manufactured LCD/LED display controller boards, monitors and related electronics, while CND LIVE has developed into its professional-video product line centered on AV-over-IP, NDI, live streaming and broadcast signal transport. Its current hardware includes 4K HDMI/SDI video encoders and decoders, NDI converters and cellular/network bonding encoders intended for broadcasters, livestream production, content creation, corporate AV and similar professional video workflows. The company combines electronics design and R&D with its own Shenzhen manufacturing capability rather than appearing to be merely a reseller or marketing brand.

2 Most Seen Failures:

No Power / Power Supply Failure

Unit will not power on, shuts down unexpectedly, or repeatedly reboots. Common hardware causes include a failed external power adapter, damaged DC/USB-C power input, protection circuitry, voltage regulators, or internal power-management components.

HDMI Input / Output Failure

HDMI input is not detected or the encoder/decoder produces no HDMI output despite otherwise operating normally. Repeated cable insertion, connector damage, failed ESD protection, HDMI receiver/transmitter IC faults, and damaged solder joints are common underlying causes.

Ethernet / Network Port Failure

The Ethernet interface loses connectivity, fails to obtain an IP address, negotiates intermittently, or is completely undetected. Likely hardware faults include damaged RJ45 magnetics/connectors, Ethernet PHY circuitry, PoE circuitry, or physical port damage.

SDI Input / Output Failure

SDI video becomes intermittent, displays no signal, or stops functioning while other video interfaces continue to operate. Typical causes include worn BNC connectors, damaged termination components, ESD damage, or failure of the SDI receiver, reclocker, or transmitter circuitry.

Overheating / Thermal Shutdown

Encoder or decoder becomes unstable, freezes, reboots, or stops streaming after extended operation. Restricted ventilation, accumulated debris, degraded thermal interfaces, or failure of cooling-related components can cause excessive SoC and power-regulator temperatures.

Firmware Boot / Reboot Failure

Device hangs during startup, continuously reboots, or becomes inaccessible following a firmware update or interrupted update. Corrupted flash contents, failed eMMC/SPI flash memory, unstable power during programming, or firmware corruption can prevent normal booting.

LCD / Touchscreen Failure

Built-in display or touchscreen becomes blank, unresponsive, distorted, or develops unreliable touch response, particularly on display-equipped models such as the X1 and D1. Possible faults include the LCD/touch assembly, flex cable connections, backlight circuitry, display power rails, or touch-controller electronics.

USB / Peripheral Port Failure

USB-connected storage or peripherals are intermittently disconnected or no longer recognized. Physical connector wear, damaged USB power switching, ESD protection failures, broken solder joints, or USB controller circuitry can produce this condition.

Video Freezing / Encoding Instability

Video freezes, drops frames, develops artifacts, or streaming stops even though the unit remains powered and network-connected. Hardware-related cases can originate from overheating, unstable power rails, failing memory/storage, or faults affecting the main encoding SoC and its associated circuitry.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most CND Live devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
  2. 2 Per information known, researched and collected by Acme Revival and its systems at time of page publishing (September 24, 2026).
