[Memory Card Detection Failure]
[TAINER may intermittently fail to detect SD or microSD cards, including cards used through adapters. ClouZen specifically documents card-detection problems in its official FAQ.]
Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.
ClouZen Co., Ltd. is a small South Korean electronics OEM specializing in portable data-backup and storage hardware for professional photographers, filmmakers, DITs, and content creators. The company was established around 2020–2021 and was founded by former developers of NextoDI, drawing on their experience developing field backup technology. Its flagship TAINER line provides standalone memory-card-to-SSD and cloud backup for photo/video production workflows, while its newer OFFLOADER 16X is designed for higher-volume on-set media management, allowing multiple memory cards to be copied to USB storage simultaneously. ClouZen also develops the companion Clouder software for device management, cloud connectivity, and file transfer. The company is therefore better characterized as a specialist professional-media storage/backup equipment manufacturer than a general consumer-storage OEM.

[Some external USB drives may not be recognized after being formatted. ClouZen identified and fixed this problem in TAINER firmware v3.20.]
[The Update & Verify process could fail and leave an UPTMP folder behind, subsequently producing error 0x00020020 when the same memory card was reinserted. ClouZen corrected this behavior in firmware v3.10.]
[Certain SD cards could produce error 0x00040001 while data was being copied. ClouZen specifically corrected this copy failure in firmware v3.00.]
[TAINER requires an M.2 SATA SSD and does not support NVMe SSDs; installing an incompatible NVMe drive results in the storage not functioning as intended. ClouZen added an explicit warning for non-SATA SSD installations after users encountered this problem.]
[The internal SSD can develop bad blocks detectable through TAINER's Drive Self Test. ClouZen recommends replacing the SSD when the self-test reports these errors.]
[TAINER may fail to turn on when its internal rechargeable battery is discharged. ClouZen's troubleshooting procedure calls for USB-C charging for at least 10 minutes before attempting to power the unit on again.]
[A hardware or software malfunction can leave TAINER unable to shut down normally. ClouZen documents an emergency shutdown procedure requiring the control button to be held for at least eight seconds.]
[Backup verification can fail because of file-system or file-metadata conditions; ClouZen specifically fixed verification failures involving files with an mtime value of zero. Independent testing also found that failed operations may expose only an error code rather than a detailed explanation.]
