ClearOne repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

End Use Segment

ClearOne was a professional audio/video communications OEM specializing in conferencing, collaboration, microphones, and AV/network-streaming equipment. Its portfolio included installed DSP-based conferencing systems, beamforming and other professional microphones, USB/tabletop conferencing devices, video-conferencing cameras and collaboration systems, and AV networking products. ClearOne primarily served enterprise, government, education, healthcare, and professional AV installations and was particularly associated with professional audio conferencing and its CONVERGE conferencing/DSP product family. In October 2025, ClearOne sold substantially all of its operating assets and intellectual property; consequently, the company no longer manufactures or sells products and now primarily handles legacy warranty/technical support, remaining assets and liabilities, public-company obligations, and strategic alternatives.

2 Most Seen Failures:

USB Audio Not Detected or Lost

CONVERGE Pro 2, CONVERGE Huddle, USB Expander, and related models may stop passing USB audio or fail to appear as a USB audio device. Documented causes include repeated USB disconnect/reconnect cycles, incompatible firmware/software, antivirus drivers, and USB connectivity problems.

Beamforming Microphone Audio Loss

Beamforming Microphone Array, BMA 2, and BMA 360 installations may show microphone activity but fail to pass audio through the DSP or beyond the post-gate stage. Loose P-Link/E-bus cabling, firmware mismatches, DSP memory errors, power cycles, and communication faults are documented causes.

P-Link / E-bus Device Communication Failure

Beamforming microphones and other linked peripherals may intermittently disappear, fail device discovery, or lose communication with CONVERGE DSP hardware. ClearOne documents improper cable termination, EMI, excessive cable loss, firmware mismatches, and grounding voltage differences as significant causes.

DSP Powers Up but Passes No Audio

CONVERGE DSP units can enter a state where status LEDs illuminate abnormally while the unit passes no audio. ClearOne troubleshooting includes fully removing power and peripherals before restarting the DSP, indicating a recoverable DSP or hardware-state failure.

Firmware Update / Device Discovery Failure

CONVERGE Pro, CONVERGE Pro 2, and Beamforming Microphone Array hardware may disappear from Console or fail to communicate following firmware changes. Incompatible Console versions, failed or mismatched firmware updates, and firmware differences between linked devices are recurring documented causes.

Audio Distortion, Artifacts, or Poor Sound Quality

ClearOne speakerphones, DSPs, and beamforming systems can exhibit distorted, intermittent, low-level, or otherwise degraded audio. Documented causes include incorrect gain/settings, firmware defects, USB bandwidth limitations, cabling problems, speaker-filter issues, and communication instability.

Boot or Startup Failure

COLLABORATE conferencing systems may power on without successfully booting or displaying video. ClearOne troubleshooting identifies attached camera/microphone peripherals, display connections, cabling, and system state/configuration as possible contributors.

Network / VoIP Connectivity Failure

CONVERGE Pro 2 and related network-enabled hardware can fail VoIP registration or network communication after configuration changes. ClearOne firmware documentation records VoIP registration failures, VLAN-related crashes, DHCP issues, and network settings that may require a power cycle.

Configuration Lost, Reset, or Corrupted

CONVERGE DSP and Beamforming Microphone systems can lose routing, matrix, processing, or other configuration behavior following resets, power cycles, firmware operations, or project loads. ClearOne has documented issues including beamforming matrices defaulting after reset, settings not persisting after power cycles, incorrect routing, and project/configuration loading failures.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
