Chuwi repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

CHUWI is a Chinese consumer-electronics and computer OEM founded in 2004 that specializes primarily in laptops, Windows/Android tablets, mini PCs, and related personal-computing hardware. The company develops and markets its own CHUWI-branded products while also providing OEM/ODM product design and manufacturing services for enterprise customers, including customized computing products for education, medical, retail, banking, and industrial applications. CHUWI describes itself as having more than 150 employees, over 60 senior engineers, partnerships with three A-level factories, more than 20 overseas warehouses, and a worldwide user base exceeding 50 million. Its historical growth came largely through affordable tablets—particularly its Intel-based Windows/Android models—and it subsequently expanded heavily into notebooks and compact desktop/mini-PC systems. CHUWI has also maintained technology relationships with Intel and Microsoft and positions itself primarily around cost-effective computing hardware for international markets.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Battery Failure / Rapid Capacity Loss

Internal lithium batteries commonly develop poor capacity, fail to charge normally, or cause the device to shut down immediately when external power is disconnected. Swelling and abnormal charging behavior can also occur as the battery deteriorates.

USB-C / Charging Port Failure

USB-C and other DC charging ports can become intermittent, physically loose, damaged, or completely unable to accept power. Failed connector solder joints, damaged pins, charging-port boards, and power-delivery circuitry are common repair points.

No Power / No Boot

CHUWI laptops, tablets, and mini PCs can develop conditions where the power indicator activates but the system fails to POST, remains on a black screen, or will not start at all. Common hardware causes include battery/power faults, BIOS corruption, storage detection problems, embedded-controller faults, and motherboard power-rail failures.

Touchscreen Failure / Ghost Touch

Touch-enabled CHUWI tablets and convertible laptops can develop completely unresponsive touchscreens, intermittent touch input, ghost touches, or inaccurate touch regions. Failures commonly involve the digitizer, Goodix touch controller/firmware, FPC connection, or touch-related drivers.

LCD / Display Failure

Displays can develop black screens, flickering, broken lines, intermittent images, backlight problems, or complete panel failure while the computer itself continues operating. Common hardware causes include a failed LCD panel, damaged display FPC/eDP cable, loose connector, or display power circuitry.

Keyboard / Touchpad Failure

Integrated keyboards, detachable tablet keyboards, and touchpads can stop responding or operate intermittently. Detachable UBook-style models are particularly susceptible to keyboard contact/connection issues, while conventional laptops can develop keyboard, touchpad, ribbon-cable, or controller faults.

Overheating / Cooling Fan Failure

CHUWI laptops and mini PCs can experience excessive chassis temperatures, thermal throttling, unexpected shutdowns, or noisy and failed cooling fans. Dust restriction, deteriorated thermal interface material, fan wear, and compact cooling-system limitations can contribute to the problem.

BIOS / Firmware Corruption

Failed or incorrect BIOS/firmware updates can leave CHUWI systems stuck in BIOS, unable to recognize hardware, displaying a black screen, or completely unable to boot. Severe cases require direct SPI flash programming or replacement/reprogramming of the affected motherboard firmware device.

Audio / Speaker Failure

CHUWI systems periodically develop missing audio, one-sided speaker output, distorted sound, or completely nonfunctional speakers. Causes range from driver/firmware problems to failed speakers, loose internal connections, amplifier circuitry, or motherboard-level audio faults.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
