Chengdu Meross repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Chengdu Meross Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese consumer-IoT manufacturer and smart-home technology company founded in Chengdu in 2016. Operating primarily under the Meross brand, the company develops connected-home hardware, firmware, mobile applications, IoT integrations, and associated cloud services. Its hardware portfolio includes smart plugs and outlets, wall switches, lighting products, power strips and surge protectors, garage-door controllers, thermostats and heating controls, environmental and presence sensors, hubs, and other home-automation devices. Meross is particularly known for producing relatively affordable products that integrate with major smart-home ecosystems, including Apple HomeKit, Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Samsung SmartThings, and increasingly Matter. The company identifies itself as both developer and manufacturer of its hardware products, while regulatory records show that actual production is performed through multiple manufacturing facilities and contract manufacturers in China.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Wi-Fi Connectivity / Repeated Offline Failure

Smart plugs, wall switches, garage-door controllers, bulbs, and thermostats may repeatedly disconnect from 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi or fail to reconnect after a router restart. Affected devices can appear offline or "No Response" until power-cycled, reset, or re-paired.

HomeKit No Response / Pairing Failure

HomeKit-compatible Meross models can fail during pairing or become unresponsive in Apple Home while remaining controllable through the Meross app. Reports include pairing timeouts, devices disappearing from HomeKit, and controls immediately reverting after a command.

Garage Door Position Sensor Failure

MSG100/MSG200 garage-door controllers can report the wrong open/closed state because of a defective, disconnected, poorly aligned, or intermittently operating magnetic reed sensor. Sensor faults can also generate false open/close notifications even though the door has not moved.

Smart Plug Relay / Output Failure

MSS-series smart plugs can stop switching their AC output correctly, leaving the connected load permanently off or failing to respond to commands. Typical hardware suspects are the electromechanical relay, relay-driver circuitry, power-supply section, or damaged switching contacts after repeated or high-current loads.

Wall Switch / Dimmer Output Failure

MSS-series switches and dimmers can become unable to switch the connected light, unexpectedly shut the load off, or exhibit abnormal status/brightness LEDs. Wiring faults are common during installation, while established units can develop relay, switching-power-supply, or control-electronics faults.

Dimmer Flickering / Unstable Light Output

Meross dimmers can cause LED or CFL lamps to flicker, fail to illuminate at low settings, or behave erratically near minimum or maximum brightness. Load incompatibility and incorrect dimming-range calibration are frequent causes, although failed dimmer power electronics can produce similar symptoms.

Power Supply / Dead Device Failure

Meross hardware can become completely unresponsive, show no status LED, or repeatedly restart because its internal low-voltage power supply is no longer operating correctly. This failure is most relevant to mains-powered plugs, switches, power strips, and controllers where the AC-to-DC supply operates continuously.

Physical Button / Local Control Failure

The mechanical power or reset button can stop registering reliably even though the device still has electrical power or network connectivity. Wear, contamination, a damaged tactile switch, or failure in the button-input circuit can prevent local switching and make factory-reset procedures impossible.

Temperature Sensor / Thermostat Control Error

MTS-series thermostats and temperature controllers can report inaccurate temperatures or appear to heat incorrectly because of sensor placement, sensor error, configuration, or control-state problems. Incorrect sensing can cause premature shutoff, excessive heating, or unexpected interruptions that resemble relay or heating-output failure.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most Chengdu Meross devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
