Check Point repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Check Point Software Technologies is an Israeli cybersecurity OEM and software company best known for enterprise network-security gateways and firewalls. Its hardware portfolio includes network security appliances/gateways used to protect corporate networks, data centers, branch offices, cloud-connected environments, and industrial/OT networks. These appliances are combined with Check Point's security software, threat-prevention subscriptions, centralized security management, endpoint/mobile protection, and cloud-security products. Network Security Gateways remain its principal hardware product category, while a substantial portion of the company's overall business now comes from recurring security subscriptions, software updates, and maintenance.

2 Most Seen Failures:

Storage Drive / SSD Failure

Internal SSDs or hard drives can fail or disappear from the system, producing boot problems, I/O errors, or a DEGRADED/MISSING RAID state. Check Point provides hot-swap and RAID1 recovery procedures across numerous appliance families specifically for failed storage devices.

Power Supply Unit Failure

AC or DC power-supply modules can fail, causing PSU alarms, amber/red status LEDs, unexpected shutdowns, or complete loss of power on single-PSU models. Higher-end Check Point appliances commonly use redundant hot-swappable PSUs so operation can continue after one supply fails.

Cooling Fan Failure

Chassis cooling fans can stop, slow below their permitted RPM range, or become mechanically noisy as their bearings deteriorate. Check Point hardware monitoring explicitly reports individual fan state and RPM and identifies a failed fan with a hardware.fan.state failure condition.

Overheating / Thermal Fault

Blocked airflow, failed fans, dust buildup, or cooling-system degradation can cause internal temperature sensors to exceed their permitted thresholds. Affected appliances may generate hardware alerts, become unstable, throttle, or shut down to protect internal components.

Primary BIOS Failure

The primary BIOS can become unusable, causing supported appliances to start from their secondary or recovery BIOS instead. Check Point specifically documents this condition as a primary-BIOS failure and certain enterprise models require appliance RMA when the documented failure criteria are met.

RAID Degradation / Drive Synchronization Failure

Dual-drive Check Point appliances can enter a DEGRADED RAID state when one storage device is missing, failed, or unable to synchronize correctly. The appliance may remain operational on the surviving disk, but redundancy is lost until the defective drive is replaced and the RAID mirror successfully rebuilds.

Ethernet / Expansion Interface Failure

Onboard Ethernet interfaces and replaceable expansion line cards can develop failed ports, intermittent links, inability to negotiate a connection, or complete interface loss. Depending on the appliance family, the fault can originate in the physical connector, PHY/interface circuitry, expansion card, or its motherboard connection.

Voltage Regulation / Mainboard Power Fault

Motherboard voltage rails or associated power-regulation circuitry can drift outside their acceptable operating range or fail completely. Check Point's Hardware Health system continuously monitors internal voltage sensors because abnormal rails can produce boot failures, spontaneous resets, instability, or complete appliance failure.

System Memory / DIMM Failure

DIMMs can develop memory errors or fail to initialize reliably, resulting in boot problems, crashes, unexplained reboots, or general system instability. System memory is a replaceable hardware component on multiple enterprise Check Point appliance families, with persistent hardware-level memory faults typically requiring DIMM or appliance replacement.

1 Acme Revival offers repair, service, and part rebuild opportunities for most Check Point devices.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
