Paper fails to advance correctly, repeatedly jams, or triggers a jam warning even when the path appears clear. Common hardware causes include worn pickup/feed rollers, contaminated paper sensors, or obstructions in the feed mechanism.
The printhead becomes clogged, electrically damaged, overheated, or unable to deliver ink correctly. Symptoms include missing colors, blank output, severe banding, persistent print-quality problems, or hardware/service errors.
The internal absorber pads that collect waste ink approach or reach their service limit. The printer may repeatedly warn that the absorber is nearly full and can eventually stop printing until the absorber system is serviced or reset.
The device fails to power on, unexpectedly shuts down, or reports a depleted battery despite sufficient charge. Causes can include degraded batteries, poor battery-terminal contact, power-supply faults, or internal electrical failures.
Multifunction printers and scanners may stop scanning, generate internal scanner errors, or fail to move documents correctly. Typical hardware causes include worn feed rollers, scanner mechanism faults, contaminated sensors, or internal communication errors.
Canon cameras can lose electrical communication with an attached lens, commonly producing Err 01 or similar errors. Dirty or damaged contacts, lens electronics, mount damage, or internal camera circuitry can prevent normal lens operation.
Cameras may fail to recognize, access, or write to storage media and generate card-related errors. When known-good compatible cards also fail, damaged contacts, the card slot, or associated internal electronics may be responsible.
The shutter or related mechanical/electronic components can malfunction, preventing normal image capture or producing internal error codes. High shutter wear, mechanical damage, or control-board faults can require professional repair.
A failure in a PCB, controller, cable, connector, sensor circuit, or other internal electronics can cause persistent hardware errors, startup failures, or loss of device functions. These faults often remain after normal resets and typically require component-level service or replacement.
