CamDo Solutions repair, service, and parts

Acme Revival is an independent repair network that operates separately from the manufacturers whose devices we service. Our independence enables a repair model that exists beyond manufacturer-controlled strategies, while preserving the ability to work with manufacturers where appropriate.

Construction Monitoring
End Use Segment

CamDo Solutions Inc. is a privately held camera-technology OEM specializing in rugged time-lapse and AI/computer-vision systems, primarily for construction and industrial jobsite monitoring. The company develops field-deployable camera hardware and associated cloud software used to remotely document construction progress, monitor site activity, improve productivity and safety, and generate visual project intelligence. Its portfolio has included long-term construction time-lapse systems, GoPro-based camera controllers and accessories, power/solar solutions, underwater inspection equipment, CloudX remote camera management, and newer IoT/computer-vision products. CamDo has increasingly positioned itself as a jobsite-intelligence provider, combining connected cameras with AI/computer vision to detect conditions, monitor progress, and produce actionable site information.

2 Most Seen Failures:

SD Card Performance Failure

Slow, worn, counterfeit, oversized, or non-U3 SD cards can cause corrupted footage, missed triggers, overheating, slow camera startup, and GoPro crashes. CamDo requires at least 30 MB/s read/write performance (U3) for reliable operation.

Insufficient or Interrupted Power

Blink, BlinkX, and related camera systems can fail to trigger or start when the supply cannot reliably provide the required power, typically 5 V/2 A. Battery packs may also automatically shut down during low-current periods unless an Always On mode is enabled.

GoPro Camera Crash / Unresponsive Camera

The connected GoPro can become completely unresponsive, resulting in missed captures and controller communication errors. CamDo controllers can hard-reset compatible GoPros by cycling power, but this recovery mechanism generally requires the GoPro's internal battery to be removed.

Camera Communication / Trigger Failure

Blink and BlinkX can fail to turn on or trigger the GoPro, commonly producing 201 or 202-series communication errors. Causes include inadequate power, SD-card performance, camera crashes, USB mode, incorrect cabling, or incompatible firmware.

USB Cable / Connection Failure

BlinkX and UpBlink require CamDo's custom fully populated USB-C cable to communicate correctly with compatible GoPro cameras. Standard or incorrectly wired USB-C cables can prevent camera detection or triggering and may potentially damage the controller or camera.

Camera Stuck in USB Mode

A GoPro may remain in data-connected USB mode rather than responding to the CamDo controller. While in this state the camera may ignore both controller commands and its physical controls, causing scheduled captures to fail.

Wi-Fi / Network Connection Failure

Blink-family hardware can fail to join configured Wi-Fi networks because of weak signal, incorrect credentials, excessive SSID/password length, router sleep modes, or insufficient controller power. These failures can prevent status emails, CloudX communication, and other network-dependent functions.

Firmware Update / Firmware Compatibility Failure

Firmware updates can fail when update files are renamed, placed in the wrong directory, stored on an incorrectly formatted drive, or loaded using the wrong update procedure. Outdated or incompatible controller/GoPro firmware can also produce triggering and communication failures.

Schedule / Capture Failure

Scheduled captures can be missed, duplicated, or occur irregularly because of camera communication problems, clock synchronization, overlapping schedules, incorrect configuration, or power loss. On BlinkX, notification events scheduled too close to camera triggers can also produce an extra or missing trigger.

Connect with a technician.

  1. 1 Repairs are performed on a best-effort basis. Acme Revival utilizes a network of sophisticated technicians and engineers with diverse service offerings; despite this, factors that influence the repair outcome may ultimately prove unsuccessful. Acme Revival makes no claim that it can, guarantee a repair before your device is sent in for diagnostic evaluation; even then, repair and diagnostic work are not mutually exclusive. Despite well-intentioned quoting, repairs may still prove unsuccessful.
